I still think Ward fights Kovalev at the end of 2016.

He wouldn't have been able to approach any top light heavies for a fight because none of them would take a fight on short notice and make weight comfortably, which is why Ward was looking at super middles on short notice as they could make the weight with so little preparation.

It's a damning indictment of his teams ineptness and sheer lack of professionalism that they could think a fight could just materialise on such short notice.

Not only Ward didn't want to fight a top LHW, he also didn't want to fight ANY LHW. He was trying to drag a SMW to fight him at 175. There would be a line of LHWs willing to fight him for a purse as low as 200K.

He signed with Roc in January 2015 and fought once in the summer and was about to fight again in November. That's two fights in 10 months, not bad imo. And leading to a potential Kovalev match, I'll take a tuneup along the way.

He's been ducking? He was having the same problem guys like Mikey Garcia was having, promotional woes.

He could have had a better opponents than Rodriguez and Smith, and as it was already said, his "new" promoter is not new anymore. Besides, each of his opponent (including Brandt) in the last 4 years is worse than the previous one. What makes you think that he will suddenly fight the most dangerous guy out there ?

Doesn't matter who's fault it was, that's irrelevant. It's probably pretty difficult to negotiate meaningful fights when you're suing your promoter, seeing as how they setup fights for you.

GGG fans don't want to see Kovalev vs Ward, Ward fans don't want GGG vs Canelo. It's really weird

If anyone can accurately predict what Ward is going to do in 2016, then please send me some stock tips. Or sports picks, like who's going to win the Super Bowl.

You can post the predictions here, or PM me, your choice.

I don't know I want both fight's then again I'm not a Ward fan so what can you do.

Maybe it's just from where I'm sitting at it seems like most guys who take up for Ward don't THINK the Canelo fight will happen. GGG fans are don't WANT the Kovalev fight to happen.

Some don't think, some really don't want it to happen. GGG fans don't want to see Ward-Kovalev because they realize It'll prove Ward's legitimacy as a top p4p fighter, win or lose, despite all the inactivity. And some Ward fans don't want GGG-Canelo because they realize GGG will most likely win and become the new star of the sport.
