Yeah but Im basing it on great fighters of the similar mold. This aint Ali/Frazier/Foreman who all had diff styles

Like I said Floyd is not unbeatable...someone like Hearns believe me will make him cry..Its the styles..

remember the leonard fight...Only reason Duran beat SRL was because Ray brawled with Duran. In the second fight Ray was smarter

    Like I said..had he had a solid chin..hed be ahead of Robinson..serious..

If Williams just develop a game somewhat close to what Tommy can offer..Floyd better watch out

But Duran's pressure and the skills he showed in that fight make me think Floyd would be in for a long night. Floyd wasn't Ray Leonard...Duran would have made him fight even if Floyd didn't employ the same strategy as Leonard in the 1st fight. Duran had great footspeed and handspeed too - he could have closed the distance quickly.

I'd say Duran wins by UD (116-112 and maybe a KD in his favor making it something like 116-111)

Yes, but Ray had more power and even more speed at 147 than PBF has now. Also, it's a myth that Duran was losing badly. Leonard was only up by a round or so.

I know. thats why I said frustrated not dominated..

Yes Ray was quicker..**** Ray was just in a diff level

but its Benitez that make me think..same damn style as Floyd with even less power..A very clear decision over Roberto..and I would even say right now that Floyd has a better chin..not that Duran cant put him to sleep..but Floyds chin got my respect

But go with the best Duran against the best Mayweather at 147 when you analyze a fight between the two. Duran looked lethargic against Benitez. Chose him when he was sharp and animal-like against Leonard and chose Mayweather against Hatton.

I would have no problem picking Duran

I dont know man..believe me I love Duran..he was a ****in beast..but I see him sometimes getting caught..Like the fight with De Jesus..all 3 fights he keeps getting tag with that left...I can definitely see Floyd doing the same..And the thing is De Jesus was just a tad faster than Duran. Floyd will be a bit more

Duran was just so much bigger and powerful than esteban that he just imposed his will on him..I dont think he can do that to Floyd

If last night's fight doesn't show why Duran beats Floyd I don't know what will.

Here you have a guy who has worse speed, worse accuracy, worse power, worse chin and worse defense than Duran giving Floyd all he could handle and with a ref that was ****ing him over for half the bout to boot.

If Hatton had any semblance of a defense, he probably could have won a decision, and that's considering the sloppy punches and one handed assault that he has.

Yep -- sounds about right to me. Floyd proved conclusively that he can beat a good (not great, just good) junior welterweight, but we already knew that. As much as I detest the irritating little ****, I knew Hatton fans were in for a disappointment.

Anywhere from 130-154 Duran would destroy Mayweather mentally over 9-10 rounds, and then he'd take him out. As much of a punk as Floyd is, Duran would be really pissed by fight time. He would go in with every intention of killing him, and that is not hyperbole. I don't think a lot of these youngsters know much about Duran. If they did, they wouldn't bring this bull**** up all the time.

While it's not impossible to suggest Mayweather beats Duran, if they were actually in the ring and I was betting, my money would be on hands of stone. Mayweather would be in the fight of his life, cause Duran would rather die than lose that fight. Mayweather's an awesome boxer and certain that gets he far, and it shows the shortcomings of a fighter like Hatton, but Duran didn't have those shortcomings, and he was not only a great boxer, he was a hell of a fighter. The most likely scenario is that Mayweather trys to show Duran he has the power to hurt him, which would be necessary to back a hungry Duran up and ends up hurting his hands in the process, and Duran just stream rolls over him as the fight progresses.
