All I can say is that if smaller men like herbie hide and chris byrd (who at one point was seen as no.1 heavy b4 wlad killed him) can share a portion of the heavyeight title, whats stopping haye?? on another note, i still cant gt my head around byrd going all the way down to 175!seriously and at his ageaswell, the man must have an extraordinary body.

Didnt Tua beat Ruiz? (ok he wasnt champ at the time, but went on to be (and a bad one at that))
The ref stopped the Lewis fight to save McCall from himself....he never actually looked seriously hurt by Lewis.
As for Chris Byrd....he got Ko'd by Calzaghe as an amatuer so he shouldnt even be mentioned in the debate.
As for this topic Haye would certainly be the underdog by quite a way, BUT if he connects solidly on Wlad then its over. Even though he's a smaller HW when it comes to weight he is a massive HW when it comes to punch power....ala Herbie Hide (just bigger and better)

Seriously I wish Haye all the best in the HW division, but all he's proven is that he's the loudest.

I don't see much of a Speed advantage for Haye...if one even exists
    Power obviously goes to Wlad
    Experience to Wlad

I don't think there is much of an argument here, Wlad KO's this dude in the
    5th if they ever fight

fitzgeraldz worte You're out of your damn mind ... everyone on Haye's resume gets knocked out by Wlad ...

Wlad is just as fast, stronger, better skilled/schooled, has the better pro and amateur pedigree ...

Wlad doesn't rely on just power, unlike Haye and can box going the distance.

    I wrote
I haven't seen a fighter yet that could get past Wlad's jab and Wlad can win the fight off the jab alone.

    corrie sanders !!!!!

Haye's only chance would to overwhelm Wlad with punches and hope to speed up the pace, but at HW he would run the risk of getting tired out.

    Like corries sanders ?????????

Wlad is no Jean-Marc Mormeck and no Enzo Maccarinelli ...

Obviously, way to state the obvious

This is a different league and Haye's sole arguement is that he's strong and athletic, but so is Wlad ...

Well if he gets hit on the chin he can go over and haye does hit hard so don't be silly

He said that he's bigger than Holyfield, but Holyfield had skill, speed, escapability, great footwork (could fight going backwards) and didn't need to rely on power to get him through the division.

Haye has got skills to burn and a great ameture peddigree

Holyfields chin also stood up to the punches of those big guys ...

Well this is yet to be seen, and is a good point but haye wont be shedding off 20 ilbs of his natural body weight to make 200 ilbs so he wont be weight drained als o wlads chin dosen't always hold up

Its cool that Haye is confident but being confident before the fight and being it during the fight are two totally different things.

Well same can be said of wlad who isn't looking to confident going toe to toe with anyone who can bang a bit.

Wlad KO 8 -- the jab and overall skill will get him though, not to mention that he weighs 30-40 pounds of solid muscle over Haye.

Size isn't everything sanders only weighed the same as haye and brewster aint no big hw either :good

Hope that helps you out :yep

First you say chins don’t mean a **** in heavyweight division and the go on to say Klitchko will win because Haye don’t have a tested chin in heavyweights :patsch

The thing that Lennox Lewis said is that Vitali hasn't been hit hard and after the fight ... Vitali said that Lennox hit him the hardest he's ever been hit.

Vitali has been injured during fights and counts as stoppages ... if not it wouldve went to the cards.

Fidds I only wrote part of that quote ... all of that isn't mine ...

Heavyweight Chins are different than those at lower weight classes....

at lower weights if you get hit clean by a big punch there is more of a chance to recover...when a heavyweight hits you with a big clean punch then it's only a select few who can take it

now I think wlad can take a punch from a big cruiser weight
but I don't know if Haye can take a punch from a big heavyweight

Haye hasn't been hit by a guy like Wlad ... you to say that Wlad has no chin when he's been hit by very big guys ... makes no sense.

I think Haye would KO Wlad too. Those who disagree seem to believe the size advantage for Klitchko will make the difference, but I disagree. Wlad is more technically sound to be sure, but his robotic nature will be difused by the pure fighting savagery of Haye. Wlad looks good lately because there are absoloutly no stand out fighters in the division. He's just the best of a really bad lot. Haye has already fought better fighters in the 200 lb division than there are among the heavies. Dave's ready to take over the division.
Of course, if I'm wrong , then the next champ just may be Tye Fields. Hey, he's got the size!
