That bodyshot to the liver that marg landed made him change his tactics for the remainder of the fight.

Yep. Just like what he said, he was really hurt by that shot. It was one rare time that i saw him getting hurt. But damn he just threw combinations right after that!

If that's his Kryptonite, I don't think we have any problems with his weakness.

He's just being humble. He's as big a warrior as there has been and even if he was seriously hurt he would've gutted it out. I thought Marquez hurt him more with a body shot he landed in their rematch.

Welp he thought twice about staying in the pocket for too long after that one. Time to go back to Freddie's plan, hit and roll...

I think hes just being humble but thats just me.

Obviously, he was hurt badly..... but Pac is as tough as they come, period, and him surviving that round has got nothing to do with luck.

However, I really feel if that was most other fighters, that would have been a 10-8 round for Margo, if not a fight ender. Thats the type of shot that puts many fighters down, a power shot on the soft spot when their not prepared for it.

I suppose hes lucky in that it didnt break a rib or something like that.

Even if the punch had put him down though, and even if he went on to lose the very next round trying to recover, he still would have adjusted, taken back control, and went on to win the fight.

I remember him talking to a Sonsona after the 4th round body shot KO, the 1st thing that a boxer should work on is his body. I guess a very hard lesson he learned from his losses.

Pacquiao has always had a questionable body. I don't consider him "lucky" to survive against The Human Punching Bag, though, since Pacquiao held every advantage aside from height/weight in that fight. Hardly lucky to play a fight out to its logical conclusion.
