Does he? I honestly think if it was me i'd feel like hey, it was me or him, he knew the risk, and it could just as easily have been me.

 

Its not quiet that simple, There are numerous interviews in which Benn talks about his conscience.

 

"He added: "You don't want to walk out of the sport brain dead."

Luckily for him he walked in like it.

 

Hate when fighters start talking retirement, it's a bit too early for Khan to be doing so anyway.

 

5 years for Khan probably means 10 fights if he has a couple of injuries/other problems.

Not bad if he continues to have fight after fight like this one coming up, he could achieve or at least attempt everything he and the fans want in that time.

He's never going to be a long laster either, despite the fact he doesn't get hit clean so much or involved in wars. Soon as his reactions dim, he's a little less mobile, he's going to be way too vulnerable. Realistically he's likely to peak earlier than most, perhaps in a couple of years time. If they tweak him so he's a little more rounded offensively he'll be peak considering his physical quality.

 

Exactly, the guys 23, he doesn't have a clue what's going to happen and the game has already nearly retired him. If he didn't have the profile he had, money for the best trainers, from the UK audience and Olympics, he may well have already been done and dusted (that's not to take away from his great achievements at the Olympics: silver medal).

Arrogance really, what high profile boxers retired at 28?!

The game might retire him before hand, but no way if he's on top of the boxing world at 28 is he retiring, the money men wouldn't let him for a start: basically a load of 23 yr old kids talk (not saying he doesn't believe it right now), he's been told to talk to the press for his upcoming fight, to promote it, he's just come out with this.

I think boxing will decide how long Khan stops in the game, rather than the other way around.

If he has success, he will not retire. I have heard that from way too many fighters.
