ahh mate, floyd is struglin for money.........he could easily sell some of his cars.......... floyd has beat everything he has been in with....pacman is a great fighter....but not a great boxer.......floyd is not scared of him one bit.
Miguel my good man, I hope you are right, I really do! & not in a patronizing way. I just hope you are right. However, IMO Floyd is using every trick in the book not to fight manny, & he aint getting any younger. TBH, I expect the young hungry ortiz to get rid of him, I just have a gut feeling Floyds time is coming to a close. Gut feelings are all wrong, & I should know better than anyone. However? Even if Floyd wins, the Pacquio fight wont happen, sadly enough. Theres more chance of the world ending in 2012 than Floyd signing to fight Pac Miguel, & you can take that to the bank:deal
End of the day the drug testing demands are unusual and floyd didn't ask for them 40 or so times before. So he's the one who put the blockers on this fight. Simple as that really. He stopped the fight happening.
Darke has a point and a valid one at that. Floyd's career has been pretty good but it could of been so much better. It's a real if's and but's career and it's all down to him sadly. Many fighters don't have control of there career path but this man for the last 8 years has taken the wrong path and as he calls himself became a 'cash cow'. I was a massive fan of his but tonight if Ortiz shocks the world i'd sit there rather happy. Floyd's treated the sport that made him with contempt IMO. Btw i don't have a lot of time for Pacquiao either both men have made poor excuse from my POV to not make that fight happen.
When did Mayweather give a **** about testing before Pac writ every contender off in the WW division? Never, that's when. Ducked Cotto to fight Hatton, ducked Margarito... Guess what? Pac gave both of them such a beating that they looked like they had been smashed to bits by a posse of lumps wielding baseball bats! Retired Hatton in six minutes and retired Oscar! Floyd is a *****, it's plain to see. I mean, when your moniker is 'Money' and you refuse to fight a man for the biggest payday that you will EVER have, what does that say about you? Test? Bull****. Floyd wants NOTHING TO DO WITH Pac. Fact.
Both have their legacies secured but I can see where he is coming from if he does not fight Pac Man...:yep They could build a separate venue in Las Vegas that would seat 100,000 with the money this fight would generate and knock it down straight after...:yep If they ever fight and it's at the MGM Grand then so many fans will miss out, we will all miss out anyway as I cannot see this getting made which is very sad for Boxing...:-(
In my opinion the fight should take place at Wembley Stadium. The greatest stadium in the world for the biggest fight of all time. It can then be broadcast to Europe at a decent hour, and be seen live in the US early evening. This would provide maximum global interest. Imagine the worldwide PPV numbers. Imagine for a moment if it somehow got on terrestrial TV at a decent hour for most people around the world.
I believe the fight will happen if Marquez does not beat Pacman which is a distinct possibility. Money Mayweather's legacy is secure and so is Pacman's. Personally I have always felt PBF would stop Pacman.
