Yes. The champion makes the belt. :)

When WBA Super faces WBA regular the split is typical champion vs Challenger 75-25.

When WBC faces WBC interim the split is 55-45.

WBC interim doesn't get the same recognition for some strange reason.

I think WBC interim might even make the 2nd tier title list if you ask me.

    WBC diamond probably does too.

Ffs there are a lot of belts but IMO the 2nd tier is nowhere near as prestigious as the big 4

The IBO Belt is about as useful as a Chastity Belt in a brothel.

I have this belt below the Bellew v Haye PPV Money Belt Title

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and so is the legitimacy of the ibo strap.
    Most hardcores would say no.

Regardless of the prestige I'd hope we all wish Frankie Gavin well.

I'd like to see him in a rematch against Skeete after this.

The first fight was about as exciting as Hughie 'The Skirt' Fury on a Morris Dancers Parade

I suppose for Frankie its his personal way of mentally fulfilling his amateur potential to be a world champion, albeit a poor mans world champ but will still say at the end of his career he was a form of a world champion.

So much potential he had, but never seemed to live the life, I may be wrong but it just goes to show no matter how good you naturally are if you don't live the sport you won't reach the top

the fight alone shows how prestige the title is Gavin got stopped off a very average domestic fighter eggington and all his fought is journeymen and hasn't looked good at all and his opponent well he doesn't have decent win against a prime fighter

No, never, I don't care who holds it, it will never be a world title in my opinion.

The only way I can describe it is..

wearing a WBC belt compared to an IBO belt is the difference between wearing a ridiculously expensive pair of handmade Italian shoes to wearing a pair of them old basic black plimsoles little kids wear for PE.

It's not about the belt, it's who's you beat to win the belt

As far as i'm aware they use Boxrec for their rankings.

The main problem is no top fighters are interested in fighting for their belt. It's pretty much a title you can buy to hype up a fighter.

Prices are here if anyone fancy's one:

    http://www.iboboxing.com/sanction_fees.html

They will sanction anything if you stump up the cash. They would probably approve Kugan Cassius v Heavy D for the IBO heavyweight international.
