Waldo will not press Ibragimov. To do so would be a huge mistake. We all know what happened when Ibragimov dropped Austin early on. He CAN get to your chin with that fast straight left. Waldo will keep his composure and distance, and try to tire the smaller more busy Ibragimov from the outside. When he sees an opening he'll drop the hammer. I'd like to see Ibragimov drop the octopus, but chances are he'll be way too cautious to do any significant damage. Ibragimov should study Dempsey-Willard to see how he should handle Waldo. Short and fast inside flurries with well placed straight lefts to the jaw. Don't let the big man tie up just duck under and unload upstairs. Damn I wish I could train him for this fight.

What he'll probably do, God only knows why, is stay back, get jabbed to death and eventually stopped when Wlad finally starts throwing some rights. Another midget HW that Wlad will tower over and beat. We really need an equal size-wise to oppose Wlad. If there is a guy out there that is remotely decent. :think

Midget heavyweight? Ibragimov is a full natural heavyweight who stands something like 6 foot 2, and weighs a natural 235, or so. Hey, if you can't find a heavyweight who is big enough, skilled enough, or powerful enough, to compete with our boy Wlad, I don't know what to tell you. :good (ahem) Anyway, I think its kind of interesting to see the usual Wlad haters/Wlad indifferents, like Swedeone, Ambition Def, and Punisher, start to openly, and frequently, admit just how dominant Wlad is, now. I like to see those who used to have blinders on, start to open their eyes and see how things really are. I guess Wlad's last few destructions of sevearl top contenders got them to rethink their bias. But still, I noticed that when they do give him a compliment these days, its usually a backhanded compliment. LOL But, at least they are coming around to admit that Wlad crushes every other heavy, period. And given the opportunity to unfiy, he'd be able to aquire every single heavyweight belt, bar none. Good to see these former baised guys realize that, too.

Do me a favor... try and read and understand what I WRITE... not what you WANT TO READ. Got it? I am not a Wlad hater. Never have been. I am a Wlad nut hugger hater, however. Actually, I can't stand most all nut huggers. Now then, let me repeat for the umteenth time... Wlad is the KING of the HW class. He is by far the best guy in the division, has a great jab, straight right. He also has a HUGE advantage over 95% of his opponents with his massive hight and reach advantage. He SHOULD rule this HW class for years to come. He does, however, have weaknesses. Despote what you and the other huggers say/believe. His chin is NOT good and when he gets hit, he has little clue what to do. He is panic-attack prone and drops his hands badly when he is in trouble. He has learned the art of clinching but a good referee will end up penalizing him for it at some point. Now... will these weaknesses ever outwight his strengths?... Maybe. Odds are against it though due to his size/reach and skills advantage. Not to say, it can't happen... as his suspect chin will give most opponents a shot every time. Wlad should absolutely stay on top of the division for at least 2 years or so due to the fact that he clearly better than the others. Will he or not?... we'll see.
I don´t think Sultan has much of a chance (any more than most posters here) but nonetheless it´s a very good fight (if it indeed comes off). And you can never totally count a competent professional fighter out. He´ll be looking to beat Wlad and probably to KO him, so Wlad can not take this one for granted.

You don't read me too well do you? Since when have I openly admitted how dominant Waldo is? Never. Fact of the matter is he is still that same guy who is going to fold when faced with a good boxer who can apply GOOD pressure. If a very green Sam Peter had Waldo reeling and fatigued to the point of collapse, imagine what a guy like Povetkin could do. You are ready to forget the past couple years based on how he handled Brock and of all people Chris Byrd. :rofl Yea he sure is a changed man. And that had nothing to do with Byrd being a non-hitter and Brock playing defensive cutey right? Waldo is anything but dominant. He has been beaten by guys that simply beg the WTF question. He has vunerabilities all over the place including his ability to take punches and his stamina. He has been reduced to grabbing inside where he should be fighting. That my friend is anything but dominant. And who knows? Maybe in his next couple fights he gets Robert Byrd as a ref again (far be it from HBO to step in and oppose that :yep ). We may yet see a longshot put the big octopus down when he can't jab and grab. As of now he is #1, but don't expect that to last.
Ibragimov will knock him out....and it will be early on. How on earth is Wlad going to move away from that long southpaw left hand with his stiff upper body... Wlad seemed unbeatable before he fought Sanders, and this is the same situation IMO
