The case for Usyk is certainly looking stronger than ever.

What's even spookier, is that a few years ago, Usyk was levels above what he is now.

I’m kind of mad I missed his prime years. I was on modern boxing strike…but being back now I’m going to watch some of his old fights. Any time recommend? I want to see the Haye fight personally

Tell me what advantage Schmeiling has over Usyk? Usyk is far bigger, stronger, far better boxer

    Huck, Głowacki, Gassiev.

They're his three best performances IMO; but Hunter, Briedis and Bellew are important to watch too since they show more of his limitations.

He fought a long time ago, which is all that is needed to be a H2H monster here on Classic.

Usyks footwork gives any era issues but when he hits the era of big and fast heavyweights his size like Ali, Foreman, Norton, Holmes, Dokes, Holyfield etc.....is when the fights get interesting.

Well, he will be 35 in a few months time so he is probably already past his prime.

I wouldn’t say levels. But he is past his best. I like that after the AJ fight he said they’re not seeing his best work and that he could have done more, I believe it.

He was a complete sportsman this bout not chasing Joshua after a slip letting him recover. Playing after the bell but now clowning. A real ambassador for boxing.

Schmeling was a stronger puncher and I don't agree that he's far worse boxer.

The Joshua fight doesn't prove much in this hypothetical. Schmeling was far more experienced fighter and much better boxer than AJ.

I'm not so sure. He would have plenty of opportunities to land on Joshua and build momentum.

    1. I'm not so sure, Joshua is much bigger but his chin is questionable. Let's assume that Joshua wouldn't run through Max (that's not his style anyway), I'm not so sure if AJ could take accurate rights from Max all fight long.
    2. It doesn't matter, because Joshua brings different obstacles to overcome for Max than Usyk.
