That wasnt a fair fight. After BHop threw our flag on the floor Tito couldnt concentrated in training. Rumor has it Tito saved the flag and buried it in his back yard.

Tito Trinidad never did good against Boxers with movement, that gives him angles. Maybe you need to go watch his fight with Oscar De La Hoya to understand why it was pointless for Hopkins to give him a rematch and the samething would of happened again.

 

Never saw Archie Moore, and I don´t know the quality of his opponents from 45 to 51 y/o, but I dare to call Bernard Hopkins the most succesful example of longevity in professional boxing. The best OLD FIGHTER ever.

His breakthru against Trinidad came at 36!!!!!

De La Hoya started retreating later on in the fight and had he kept his punch output up like he did in the first half of that fight, he would of won it easy. His corner ****ed that up and gave stupid instrcutions of retreating to a safe win.

Tito is top 10 all time welter. But I believe he was at his most devastating form at 154. That guy was DANGEROUS. But Middleweight was too much for him. And I think after leaving welter, he progressively turned more and more lazy. The dude didn´t want to deal again with the process of making weight, and just got heavier and heavier.

After destroying Joppy, I think he truly believed he could deal with anything and anyone only with his left hook. He started to think he was unbeatable. Hopkins took his left hook away and he didn´t know what to do.

 

Thats what Im saying. Hopkins was never good. Tito was just too little. :good

 

I hate Bernard Hopkins. He is a crybaby, cheater, and racist.

But a 46 year old man beating a guy like Dawson? I would respect his boxing skills and position as an ATG regardless of how I feel about him.
