    Is it because:

    1. He was overhyped

    2. Trout is better than expected

    3. He won't lose

    3. He won't lose.

You can bet after that though, Trout suddenly becomes an overrated bum whose best win was a shopworn blown-up Cotto.

I was thinking also that Trout would become a memory if he loses.

A combination of 1 and 2. Canelo is pretty good and can still become a star, but I've been on the Trout bandwagon since he fought Canelo's brother. I think he's special, it's just not obvious because his style isn't fan pleasing and he doesn't destroy opponents (sort of similar to Andre Ward before he joined the super 6). Trout is long, has enough power to get respect, technically solid, a southpaw, has extraordinary stamina, seems to have a decent beard, can throw 80 punches a round for 12 rounds if the fight calls for it, mixes his punches well, and is fairly accurate. On top of that, Canelo hasnt faced a single southpaw in his career, and has had trouble with guys who can counterpunch. It's been a long time since I've put money on a fight, but this one seem obvious to me and I'll be betting on it.

If Canelo wins, tons of people will be crying robbery. But I think he knows that, an Canelo's chin is just average. I wouldn't be surprised to see Trout go for the knockout, even though that's not his usual style.

Seems to me that Trout has the edge in everything here, except punching power.

With that said, if he does beat Trout, he is legit and the hate should stop... but I doubt he will beat Trout.

I certainly hope Canelo wins. I can see the fight going either way, but I am picking Alvarez by decision.
