If Cotto isn't going to fight

Canelo or Kirkland in December, would anyone strongly oppose a rematch vs. Mayweather?

Martinez vs. Chavez Jr. is in September so it may and probably is too soon to fight again in December 1.

So, as far as credible opponents for Cotto are Canelo, Kirkland, and who else? K9? I'm sure Lara would fight him, but would Golden Boy set it up?

For Mayweather, who is credible for him to fight? Pacquiao? Cotto? Besides that, if he fought anyone else, most people would more than likely call it a joke.... So hell, why not?

Mayweather vs Cotto II but somewhere outside of Vegas.

Please don't mention Cotto- Mayweather again. That makes a lot of money but absolutely no sense. Floyd is about big PPV numbers. That fight is over and done with. He has to know he can't dupe people into watching him beat Cotto up again.

My Mayweather opinion is that he's already beaten Cotto. Quite easily. The score cards were very genoures to Cotto who really only won the 9th round. Mayweather should consider the winner of Alvarez/Lopez, Lara/Martrosyan or Martinez/Chavez as his next fight. Who knows maybe 50 Cent's new promotion will make it easier to make fights across the board.

My boxing opinion is that when a champion is beaten he should no matter how bad the loss get a chance to win his championship back. On these grounds. I do agree that Cotto should get another chance with Mayweather.

I love how people are making it seem like the fight was much easier than it actually was. It was a competitive fight, Cotto gave Floyd a hard time. Floyd was FAR from shutting Cotto out; he edged out most of the rounds, but it was a fight he won in inches every round. That being said, I don't necessarily think anything would change the second time around, so I really don't need to see a rematch.

However, some of this **** people are saying on this forum is absolutely asinine. Cotto did better against Mayweather than Bradley did against Pacquiao. I find it hard that to believe that many of the people who post on this forum even like boxing; clearly they don't watch many fights.
