Rematches should only be for close fights or controversial scorecards and this fight was neither. Both fighters should move on.
Rocky is a movie and a good one Last night was a horror movie for Spence and if he takes the rematch, it's the eqivilant of him buying a cinema ticket to that horror movies sequel
Spence has zero chance of winning. Crawford has completely ruined Spence to the point whereby the only sensible option for Spence is to retire. If a rematch does somehow happen at 154, Crawford will beat Spence a lot worse and probably stop Spence in four or five rounds, similar to Pacquiao vs Morales III.
Spence took one of those beatings that take a toll on the fighter. Spence today is less durable, slower, dumber and softer than he was yesterday. The only reason why it was not a career ending beating was the referee. Nevertheless that beating was not for free. The following versions of Spence will be worse than the one we have seen up to now, so no, Spence will not win at 154 or at any weight. The outcome will be the same, Crawford by stoppage.
Spence's best chance of winning this fight was to make it five years ago, when Crawford was still fresh to the division and hadn't filled out yet, before Spence's party-hard lifestyle helped exacerbate a slight (SLIGHT) chinny problem. As you might have guessed, that time has long since passed. He will never beat Crawford, not in a rematch at 147, not at a new weight of 154.
With what i seen last night....spence will probably still be drained at 154. Messed up staying at the same weight class for too long. Very rarely ends well.
Nope. If anything Crawford might be stronger. Grant it, Spence ay be stronger, but I don't see a path for Spence. His inability to adapt was incredible. No plan B.
I think Spence probably retires. Pretty much all losing fighters say they want the rematch when on camera right after the fight is over. Once he and his team have time to mull it over, I think they’ll come to the conclusion that retiring is the best option.
