This has been answered before already. Beating a ****ing day of the week doesn't warrant a top 10 rating, especially when he's not even top 10 himself. Tua is irrelevant and will never win a world title.
I can see Tua giving Haye or Wladimir problems. He's got a better shot than most heavy's out there i'd say and he sure ass hell could kick fighters like Dimitrenko's ass and other top heavys.
If he blows him out he'll be knocking on the door. Hopefully he stays true to the plan of progressively stepping up his quality of opposition, and doing it quickly.
Ideally, Tua would need to beat someone in the top 10 to be in the top ten. That should be everyone. However, that doesn't happen in any of the alphabets. Not only Tua, but there's lots of guys in the top ten alphabets who have never beaten anyone in the top ten. Tua's recent opponent, Shane Cameron, was ranked #6 at one time. He's never beaten anyone in the top 100!
Who the hell ranked Cameron #6?? The New Zealand Sportswriters Association? One of the alphabets? Sure as hell not any reputable rating source.
Brickhaus, believe it was the WBO. Not positive, but one of the 4 alphabets did. He was ranked either 6 or 7 for over a year.
You must not have scrutinized the division lately (deeper than the top half-dozen or so) if Cameron being ranked disturbs you.
Last chance saloon, and he knows it. He has the Friday fight, and two more fights by July to fulfill his contract with Maori TV. My guess is that he'll KO Friday, and then look for an eliminator to a belt. Reports from NZ is that his weight is good, and he's training the house down. His sparring partner is Israel Garcia.
He probably shouldn't be ranked top 10 due to inactivity but i think the only heavies who beat him right now are the 2 klits. He still has a great chin and good power.Haye might be able to dance around him for 12 rounds but he ko's the rest
