I'm not surprised by anyone being rated high by the alphabets. All of them always end up with a few random weird and undeserving names in their top 15s. I thought someone was trying to claim he was actually a top 10 heavyweight at some point, i.e. rated by The Ring or some other reputable source, which he never was.
No, beating Cameron and Friday isn't enough to get you in the top 10 when thats all you've done in several years. If he gets by Friday, epsecially if he looks good doing so, then he'll be a top 20-15 guy. Unfortunately, it won't matter, because he'll most likely go on another streak of inactivity with a few false starts thrown in for good measure.
I like Tua but no.... Imo he would need to beat someone near the top 10 of the division (ring rankings, not an alphabet rankings) (yes i know some hate ring but they are better then anything else IMO) If Tua beats Friday, then beats Thompson or Peter or something like that, then hell ya hed be top 10, just Friday? no way
HBO for free Tua vs that fat Mexican heavyweight Arreola thats what should happen if Tua wins and just to shut people the **** up how about some Adamek KTFO quickly for sure. All exciting possibilities. Go Tua bring some excitement back to the boring heavies please.
Tua is top 10 based on potential. Many think he could beat anyone except the Klits. Tha thinking should put him in the top 10. But I don't know if that's true. The last guy that he fought in the top 10 was Rahman, over 7 years ago. Friday shouldn't put him in the top 10 either, as he hasn't fought in almost 2 years, and is ranked outside the top 100. BUT, if he beats Friday in convincing fashion, he's back! And a Tua that's back will make waves in the division, create excitement, and challenge for a belt. Would that mean he should then face a top 10 guy? A Peter or Arreola? I think so. If he fights them, it should be for a mandatory. If he wins, he fights a Klit.
Top 15 setting up a fight with a top 10 makes sense. Only because despite all his years of messing everyone around with his stalled comebacks Tua does have a history of fighting and beating top 10 HWs, former beltholders and going 12 rounds with Lewis. Not too many of any HWs on anyone's current top 10 list actually have multiple wins against top 10s.
I think it's a matter of deciding whether he's a top ten in one of the 4 alphabets, or a true top ten of all heavyweights. Take a look at this list, and it's easy to see why he's #3 in the WBO: Wladimir Klitschko 1. Wladimir Klitschko 1. Ray Austin 2. Odlanier Solis 3. Nicholay Valuev 4. Alexander Povetkin 5. James Toney 6. Denis Boytsov 7. Samuel Peter 8. Manuel Quezada 9. Derric Rossy 10. Francesco Pianeta 11. Tomasz Adamek 12. Jonathan Banks 13. Albert Sosnowski 14. Tony Thompson 15. Nagy Aguilera 1. I wouldn't rank him in the top ten on the basis of him whoopin Fridays ass,or being the first one to KO Friday(im picking inside of 3)......But the result will only register very lightly on the Boxing worlds Richter scale. This next fight will send a message loud and clear to every single one of the fighters in the top 20 getting in his way up that well protected ladder:deal Plenty of fighters would have just given up by now if they had of had all the real life problems that Tua has gone through .....but dont go getting the violins out, because now he has absolutely no known barriers in the way of what may well be the final leg of his comeback. No excuses can be made from hereon in. Not many are left interested in Tua anymore, or so i have heard it said.and some even say that hes irrelevant to the boxing world at large these days..... .Im not trying to get tears of sympathy on his account or anything....but all the disinterested observers will notice a difference in him eventually. Tua will make it all the way this time I believe.but would I stake money on it?? well almost! i dont want to take all your money of you good folk thats all!:yep Take good notice when Tua carries his threat all the way up the rankings ladder ....
