If Eubank jr defeats groves, can we consider him elite and a possible world title type fighter?

I hear mix reviews on him. I do want to see him tested. What do you guy think? If he wins the tournament does the do a lot for his stock?

Very good, but I wouldn't quite declare him as elite.

Depends on what you classify as elite, but even if he loses he's clearly good enough to fight for a world title.

I consider elite to be p4p top 5 and that win doesn't get him there, maybe top 20 but not even top 10.

Winning WBSS and he could get 8-15 in p4p rankings

Not elite, world class in their prime.

Realistically though I dgaf about p4p rankings, but yeah there are only a few elite fighters at any given time, being at the top of your division doesn't make you elite IMO

No. Eubank Jr had the chance to prove he is elite when he could fight Golovkin at 160, but he lost his pen instead.

A world series win and a win following that against Badou Jack or Degale would put him top 15

Yeah let's ignore that it was Eubank Sr's fault by all accounts who is widely considered a cretin that is impossible to deal with because of his irrational demands. Eubank Sr simply priced his son out, deal with it.

No. Groves is fringe world class & he's flatlined since Froch.

By the time 2019 is upon us Eubank could easily hold WBA IBF IBO Super Middleweight Titles.

    George Groves
    Callum Smith
    James DeGale
    Billy Joe Saunders
    Gennady Golovkin / Saul Alvarez

If he could somehow stack his resume with these names before 2020 aswell as some mediocre fights since he likes to stay busy, then I'd sure as hell consider him Top 5 P4P
