With Fedor not retiring, he should definitely fight Fedor the 1st alternate spot.

Either Fedor shows he has something left and beats an undefeated fighter

    OR

SDR shows Fedor is finished and establishes himself as a genuinely legitimate number 1 alternate should he be asked to step in at the quarters, semis or in the final.

The alternate should be legit otherwise, if it is just to save the show then they could bring one of the earlier losers in like Fedor.

If SDR doesn't have to step in then he can fight the winner of Griggs vs Reem.

The GP is deep but it will suffer some casualities. At the moment it looks like Arlovski and Fedor. If that happens then it would be good if Griggs and SDR could be established as legit contenders.

I'd like to see Fedor v Griggs and V. Overeem v SDR on the undercard for the Semi's and the winners face each other on the undercard of the final. It would give a legit no. 1 contender for the winner of the GP.

whose "NECKS" LOL.....that'a a riot...just for future reference so people will take you more serious...it's neXt.
probably AA vs. fedor could make a good fight....and fedor could get a little creditability back

He's not in UFC and if he really is going to 'honor' the Strikeforce contract he should fight few tuneups. If he seems to get some old shape and vibe back in those then closing the career against the best at that time would be a good way going to retirement.

Fedor has left a lot of hardcore MMA fans down since his arrival in the states. Dana White must be have a huge smile... Another Pride fighter who dominated back in Japan is simply the total opposite in the States. Something is telling me what's going on:huh
