They'd rather fight Kovalevski than Quiggolito.

Lol, Quigg is desperate to make the fight happen though and it seems Frampton/his team are less keen. Won't be long until it seems fair to say Frampton is ducking Quigg tbh!! If Hearn makes an offer over 2 million (whatever the terms of split in the purse etc) but Frampton still not interested??? What else can we conclude from that!! I just hope the fight can be made ASAP!!

Thanks CGH. That was a stupid decision by the mcguigans. I have no doubt that will of been a factor in carls early rds poor performance.
Theres a reason that the troops used to go to afgan 6wks prior to being placed in active. It was to get used to the new surroundings. Ur in sense overload not to mention getting used to atmosphere weather good water etc. Unless for some damn good reason they couldnt go out that early shane should of known better. I know thats a standard length of time our boxers spend there b4 fight night. But they are on the periphery of breaking i to the american market. A bit more effort is required imo

I think to be fair to McGuigan, not having enough time to acclimatize to the environment prior to a fight has never cost him in the past.

He must of figured Frampton would Cruz through the fight...

After reading all these comments, you'd think Quigg has a granite chin. No one's mentioning the power Carl carries in his hands or the speed he has. Just because Quigg landed a decent uppercut he's now this monstrous puncher?

I'll admit Kiko got up too late, but he wasn't staggering around and not surprised the ref couldn't wait to wave it off regardless (forgot his name but don't rate him as a ref).

Can Quigg hurt Frampton? Most likely. I still see Frampton beating Quigg by stoppage via accumulation of shot's or by comfortable points decision.

Are you suggesting Frampton carries more power in his shots than Quigg?? I'd beg to differ as would Mr Martinez after Saturday!!

One swallow doesnt make a summer, S1.
Yes it WAS an impressive punch - but it was only a single shot. Has Quigg been doing this consistenty over his entire career - or even over a series of fights? No.

If anthing, comparing them on a fight-by-fight basis, Carl is the bigger puncher.

(Thats without even mentioning that Carl is far more skilled etc - so even if Quigg IS more powerful - which I doubt, it is his only advantage over Carl)

I would not say anything to suggest Quigg is as talented or skilled in the ring as Frampton, but its clear for all to see he carries more power in his shots than Frampton!!It's also something that has noticeably improved for Quigg in the last 6-12 months. For me, to say Frampton carries as much pop in his power shots as Quigg does is as laughable as to say Quigg is as good an all round boxer as Carl!! I'll give you the point that it is probably his only advantagein any possible match up between the two, however, although one swallow does not make a summer, one punch can end a fight!! ;-)

You say all of that, yet who ducked who?

Carl was offered a career high pay day and quacked his way over to the States to fight a road sweeper.

Quigg doesnt just carry a bit more pop and his only advantage thats just a frikin ametuer statement !! Quigg is stronger on the inside, is a better pressure fighter and works the body better than frampton. Frampton id say has much better feet, controls range better and has a better variety of punches. But to say that quigg only has one advantage over Frampton is laughable.

Ps I prefer Frampton and would pick him edge out quigg in a vert tough s****

To be fair I was only agreeing with Len that Quiggs power is his only real advantage over Frampton as we were in agreement that Frampton is the better/ more complete boxer. Conversely, yes I would say it is a bit ridiculous to say it is his only real advantage. Quigg is probably the stronger of the two and better on the inside, but I still see his power as his MAIN advantage over Carl. Hope that clears it up..
