Suffice to say Froch is really 2-2 in his last 4 fights. That doesnt get you pound for pound status.

If he somehow beats Ward, I might consider him. Ward is going to school him though. So its really mute.

if he wins he would def be top 6-7 easy. he is fringe top 10 now and has a hell of a resume. but i dont think he will win but i think its going to be an amazing fight. I will be in atlantic city to watch it live .

It depends how comfortably he beats him, if say he beat him in a close but unanimous decision. Maybe 7 rounds to 5 with a knockout, In the rings current rankings they have-

    1. Pacquiao
    2. Martinez
    3. Donaire
    4. Marquez
    5. Klitschko
    6. Bradley
    7. Wonjongkam
    8. Segura
    9. Ward
    10. Hopkins

Say if they fought today (the Mayweather-Ortiz, Hopkins-Dawson will definatley effect these rankings, as might Klitschko-Adamek). But if Froch beat Ward, I'd put Hopkins 9th and Froch 10th.

In a P4P discussion everyone is kind of right. It's so subjective that if you make sense you have the right of your opinion.

#8, behind Pacquiao, Mayweather, Martinez, Donaire, Marquez, Wlad and Bradley.

I thought about that as well, and your right, there's going to be a shake up in the ratings before Ward-Froch. Mayweather secures a top 5 position if he beats Ortiz, assuming he doesn't look too bad in the process. If Hopkins beats Dawson he might move up or if Dawson were able to beat Hopkins soundly he might be considered back into the ratings. Adamek would certainly deserve a consideration as well if he were to beat Vitali.

His wins vs GJ and Dirrell were very unimpressive.
He let Johnson a shot 41 year old land at will and land often.
Frochy has no defense whatsoever the best thing about him is all his fights are close which makes him a top ten fighter excitement wise for sure.
If his defense were more solid he would be a top 20 type fighter.

How in the world is Wlad deserving of a #5 spot? Did we forget the meaning of pound-4-pound?

If you do the math in terms of weight percentage difference Wlad's win over Haye is about the equivalent of Ward or Froch beating a welterweight and one that's not even a top 25 P4P themselves, same thing with Chambers though that's probably closer to beating a JWW who ate his way up to WW. Most of Wlad's other relavent wins (Byrd, Ibragimov, etc.) are about the equivalent of them beating JMWs. The only guys he's beat his own size have been a shot Peter, shot and overweight Rahman, Thompson, and Austin. The latter two are c-level talents.

Now, if he had all these wins without a weight advantage like everyone below heavyweight, then sure, but that's not the case.
