If i wanted to stir things up id just have called Ward crap or something, but i dont lol, i really just did want to know if Froch would be given full credit and placed high in the p4p lists if he beat him (placed high on peoples lists who currently place ward high).

Conveniently forgetting that Bradley got put down twice by Holt to only win a close decision. The same Holt who lost his next fight by KO to a nobody.
Forgetting Campbell was an OLD LIGHTWEIGHT
    Peterson was untested
since when was Abregu a top fighter? Please tell me in 29 fights what his 3 best wins were
    Edner Cherry :huh
Witter was a good away win

If Froch convincingly beat Kessler and Dirrell, I'd agree with you 100%. But that's not what happened.

You can play the same game with Froch's resume, but I'd rather not go there.

    No.

    1 - Because I dont have Ward top 5
2 - Because I think its a somewhat silly notion to think that just because you beat someone, that you now occupy that persons spot on the list. I have never understood that reasoning.

BUT - If he beats Ward, I will def have Froch in my top 10 p4p.... probably around 10. Idk... depends on what happens in boxing in the meantime.

He beat Dirrell in a close fight. Yes he lost to Kessler but also look at his preparations. Frochs flight was cancelled 3 times, and he didnt even get into Denmark until a couple of days before the fight, and then had to address the press, so his preparations were badly disrupted. So yes he lost, but look at the whole picture. Froch is fighting more fights away than Bradley

You'd have him 10th? You'd do well to find a fighter with a better resume than Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, AA, Johnson, Ward and a close loss to Kessler. That's a top 5 resume IMO

no - to be top 5 p4p you need to be epic like Pac, Money, Marquez or Martinez or just a young american on a winning streak like dawson, williams or ward.

froch is not american and beating ward would not be epic enough, infact people would just ward was over-protected and caught kessler on a bad night.

No because Bailey said the super middleweight division is weak.

The names in bold are not near

    Sasakul
    Ledwaba
    Barerra X 2
    Marquez
    Morales X 2
    Cotto
    Hatton
    Margarito
    Clottey
    De La Hoya

plus guys like Joel Julio, David Diaz, Oscar Larios and Jorge Solis.

A total of 20 fights against past or present champs. With a record of 16 - 2 - 2 in those fights including ten stoppages. I don't think Froch comes close to that record i'm afraid

Do you mean to say he wasn't able to get adjusted to the taste of the Danish pastry?

Oh my goodness. Call Boxrec. Erase this fight from Froch's record -- it never happened. Carl did not get acclimated to the pastries! It's an abomination that the fight went ahead. Carl was not properly adjusted to the cold wet Danish climate (to be contrasted with the tropical heat of England) and was not able to tour Copenhagen as he should have.

Oddly, and kind of funnily, Dirrell arrived in England something like 6 or 7 days before his fight with Froch.

And there we're dealing with an actual time change and jet lag and all that.

    Good lord, bailey, listen yourself!
