I am pretty sure Joe was on the wane after the age of 36, and was in sheer danger of losing his zero record, thats partially (and money of course) why he picked the oldies to face rather than prime Froch or dangerous Dawson who might well beat him. Its not a reprehensible act, its called looking after your twilight years.
