If Hopkins beats Calzaghe does he move past Roy all time?

Just going by major title fights RJJ has roughly 10 years at the top .. Hopkins is at 13 and still going.
They are about 4 years apart in age but RJJ hasn't looked remotely impressive after turning 35 ... Hopkins once again is still a top p4p fighter at almost 43 now.
Do you think RJJ will still be going strong in his 40s ? unless some miracle happens i do not see that happening.

This all ofcourse only illustrates my personal reassoning to why i think BHop is the greater and i gladly accept somebody ranking RJJ higher.... it all about personal preference.

Natural ability vs dedication and boxing skill.

Jones has plenty of skill IMO. He is not a textbook fighter, but we have all been through this a dozen times. Athleticism cannot teach timing, accurarcy, punch variety, placement, footwork, head movement, etc. Jones did all those things well, he just used his athleticism to create a style no one has seen before, though similar to Eubank a little IMO.

Hopkins didn't win a major title untl 2 years later. His first title was in 1995 while Jones was in 1993. Jones finally fell in 04 while Hopkins has looked decent in 07. So for me, its only about a year difference.

If you people rank Hopkins ahead of RJJ you rank him ahead of Mayweather also in my eyes.. and thats some bull****..

He is way past RJJ already...thats why RJJ wanted no part of a rematch!
