Sorry, but that's utter bollocks. Hopkins isn't top five P4P because of things he did 15 years ago, he is because he is still performing at that level now. Calzaghe's last fight was against someone who, by your own definition, was the best opponent he could feasibly face right now.

And your insinuation that Hopkins no longer has the hunger to 'fight hard' is, frankly, an insult to him.

And then Calzaghe already fought a young, hungry fighter with talent to put himself up there in P4P terms in Kessler.

Some people will just never be satisfied though.

Huh? You'd have to be a ****** to pick Gatti over Floyd.

Not only would calzaghe have beaten toney, benn would have too.
If tonys hands were as fast and big as his mouth he would be reigning his division right now.

I think you should go find a source, I dont think any boxing writer worh his salt would picka past it contender like Gatto over a pure boxer like Mayweather...

I dont think there are many on the planet that would say it wasnt a farce
Would you also agree that Mayweather got all the help he neede from joe cortezs against hatton, stopping hatton working inside and roughing up mayweather??

Surely we dont agree on this as well do we??

Let me tell you, when I heared that Mayweather was fighting Gatti I thought it was sad that
1 Gatti was willing to beome a lamb to the slaughter for a good pay day, he is better than that.
2 Mayweather had the nerve to give it the whole showman thing at the end after basically beating up a well well past it fighter.

I never once thought it would be anything other than a Mayweather win.

Mundine, Beyer and Andrade were all ranked in the top five of the Ring's rankings at SMW when Kessler demolished them.

That's at least equal to Dawson's current achievements.

I would argue better, given the context and dominant nature of the wins.

actually i do...and how Joe ignored the fact that mayweather used his arm in Hatton's face to keep him off a clinch...yea id agree

but i also think Hatton's demise came mostly from Hatton charging himself into Mayweather's fist and the weight and size advantage...as well as a shitty trainer...now he's training with Mayweather Sr. :think
