The Ring has often been a bit sniffy about heavyweights in P4P lists.
Maybe a little bit of Napoleon syndrome or something, refusing to credit a large athlete with skills that would translate if they were lighter.

Even if he wins he won't have beaten anyone who is even top 50 P4P. How the hell can he be top 10?

No - Wlad has been dropped and stopped too many times to figure in the top 10 P4p IMHO.

But he's the number 1 heavyweight in the world................by a mile

I have a real hard time ranking a heavyweight in the top 10 P4P to be honest.

I wonder how Wlad would do as a welterweight right now. That would be interesting... he's fast for a guy his size so he would be fast for a welterweight... got a tremendous jab... But wouldn't be as mobile as some...

Back on topic, I can see him as a top 10-15 P4P fighter, it's not his fault he's a heavyweight.

Heavies don't make the cut on most pound for pound lists. Wlad can be 245 pounds in shape, and that's nearly say double of what Isreal Vasquez weighs, so does that mean Wlad needs to be twice as good?

IMO pound for pound skills are mostly about two things.

1 ) Dominance in one's weight class, and beating ranked fighters.

    2 ) Skills

I suppose if Wlad drills Ibragimov, he can sneak into the 9 or 10 spot.
