If Kovalev beats Hopkins & Stevenson, will they say "the 175 division is weak"?

AmeriCANS always find a reason to bash European fighters. Even if Prime Mike Tyson comes back, gets his ass kicked by Wlad, they will say: "Back then, in the Confiderates, there was a guy, he would destroy Wlad" .. same with Kovalev. Does he knocks Hopkins out, is the division weak.

    I've actually been to many.

I go to all the local cards here, even though most of the boxers are not very good. I've been going to Las Vegas nearly every year since 2009, primarily for the purpose of attending fights from ringside. If GGG fights there in 2015, I'll go back again.
I know you don't understand this, but being from the same country doesn't mean much to me. You are EXTREMELY nationalistic, but I'm not. Countries are just social constructs. We have no really good boxers in Western Canada anyway.

There are fighters I like from all over the world: Pacquiao from Philippines, GGG from Kazakhstan, Kovalev from Russia, Joshua from the UK, M Garcia from the USA, Adamek from Poland, etc.

Many Europeans like American boxers, such as some of the posters in the history section here and at the 'scene (remember the guy from Finland "The Great A" who loved Ali?). As far I know, you never complained about that.

UK commentator John Rawling absolutely loves American boxers such as Ali and Leonard. He says Ali is his favorite of all time.

If I remember correctly, you've expressed admiration for a few non-American boxers like Dick Tiger and Lennox Lewis.
You don't know me, you've made many false assumptions about me, such as believing people here and on other sites are my alt accounts.

Post one link to something I've said about Broner.

I've never posted anything about Broner, I find him comical. I think the poor guy actually means well.

Kovalev would get major props. This isn't a weak light heavyweight division.

Bringing up my health problems shows you're having a meltdown like the one that got you perma banned from the 'scene.

I hope they'll be fair and not dismiss his success by saying "the division is weak", but I don't think they will.

After Kovalev brutally disposes of Hopkins the American boxing media will say it didn't mean much because Hopkins was washed up.

Yes, some will, and for reasons many of us know about.

Btw I'm from the West (US) too... but from EE heritage. So f 'em :tong
It's looking more apparent w/each passing year that the eras before competition from East Europe were the weak ones :yep

The poll is accurate and quite lopsided for an issue of such a polarizing nature.

It's weak. Kovalev's best fight of his entire career is a FIFTY YEAR OLD!

That's a red flag for me. No real boxing fan who followed the sport (american, white, black, hispanic, asian) would ever be a fan of Vinny Paz.

Paz was nails on a chalk board. What an *******.

Those Duran fights still make my blood boil. "Willie Pep! Willie Pep!" :patsch

Thats funny since in the late 80's, early 90's Paz was was of the biggest live draws in the sport. So much so that even the great Willie Pep attended most of his fights. So much so that Duran walked him out in his final fight and was in the crowd cheering him. But hey, what would those guys know about him that you dont, right?

If Americans are always trashing European fighters then what the hell are Mr Harry, fightime, and the like, doing with their threads???
