Vitali got a boost and basically won the fight, Lewis still suffers about this match and basically lost.
LL is already ranked higher than either K brother. There is no way to know what would happen in a rematch or if the first fight had gone longer. You guys argue this like it will change what actually happened.
Of course he was good enough in the first fight, he stopped Vitali in the sixth, it'd be even easier second time round. He didn't have to show up better, he was more than good enough in the first fight, in the second he would have shown up even better and made easy work of Vitali. Vitali didn't outclass anyone, he got his face ripped off and got stopped, again.
If you would bet that kind of money on Lewis based on the first fight your either crazy, stupid or lying. Unless Lewis could have come out better the second fight which he maybe could or could not he would have almost no chance of winning. so it would be a foolish bet to gamble on Lewis.
Absolutely not, he was good enough in the first fight to stop Vitali. In the re-match, Lennox would have made easy work of it.
Is there a (psychiatric) Doctor in the house? OP has serious PTSD. Just can't move on and face the truth...
Lennox Lewis is in the majority of top 5 all time HW's lists. Some of you are so bitter, it's pathetic
Beating a hungry and up 'n coming Vitali is one (if not the) best win in Lennox entire career. Why would one want to look at Lennox career without this great victory?
It is a good win for him but overall it makes little difference if he had fought Vitali for his legacy, but it provides us viewers with a measure of the decline of HW boxing, if noone can beat this guy who got turned over by half shot Lennox. you dont fight with a torn rotator cuff, unless you want some intense keyhole surgery later. Mind you, fighting into your forties is going to keep tearing that rotator cuff. Man should quit now!
lol but true. the thread content on ESB would be halved overnight. them 'Wlad - twice as fast as Ali?' type polls, you know.
