He needs to get back to 147, berto is a very winnable fight for him , also the wbc belt ,of which pac is the owner of the diamond belt, this sets up a unification bout ,i believe cotto needs two good wins to get back to form , and to let his training with steward fully sink in
I would have him and steward make sure to prepare exclusively to fight margarito, game plan, sparring partners, training camp all focused around margarito, then fight angulo... if he can feel comfortable enough beating angulo (which in itself is a tough fight) then go through another good training camp focusing on marg, i wouldnt mind seeing margarito 2, but the thing is of course does marg deserve the fight after the scandal? i wouldnt mind seeing it but i know many fans would and also maybe miguel himself. But its a victory id like to see him have...
If he stays at JMW, I'd like to see Angulo. If he heads back south, Berto. I wouldn't mind watching him fight Margo again, but I don't feel good about giving Margo a big fight without his earning it. **** I don't feel good about him fighting at all again, but if he is going to, he should work his way up.
I agree, but I couldn't deal with all the Pac-fans/Floyd-haters screaming about how Floyd's ducking fighter X to fight a shot Cotto. Of course Cotto might not be shot, but that will hardly be the point. This board would be unmanageable for months leading up to that fight.
