Because Mayweather had Mosley tied up and he wasn't able to land any more shots. Katsidis had some space to get off and was landing bombs on Mitchell one after another unanswered.

It's pretty simple if you don't have the intelligence of a ******.

First of all I have to say fair play to Katsidis, he comes to other fighters back yards time and time again and gives a good account of himself. Class act.
But im also in the minority in thinking it was stopped slightly too soon. I would have liked to have seen Mitchell be given a little longer, I know people will say you dont want to take chances and I agree, but didnt feel Mitchell was totally out of it, and boxing is a sport where things can happen at any time.
If Mitchell was right to be stopped against Katsidis then why wasnt Gatti stopped in his first fight with Ward?
Pavlik when he first fought Taylor?
Lacy in the last round against Calzaghe?
Khan being aloud to continue when out on his feet after the first Prescott knockdown
D Reid against Trinidad in round 11
