I fought Cotto tough, Cotto just beat him (another great fighter) the Mora fight is what threw me off. he looked like serious crap in that fight.

I do think its not at his best at all but would you really be surprised if Mosley KO Cano?? I know Mosley anit the same but are u putting Cano up there with Pac, Mayweather and Canelo? I dont even think Cano is as good as Mora to be honest

I've always been a Berto fan but i dont think he beats anybody up for 12 rounds ever the rest of his career. he never got his defense under control. tried to learn Mayweather's but cant pull it off. seems Broner has it learned way better then Berto and he just turned 23.

I don't think anyone is putting Cano on the same level with those guys but he is a very highly regarded prospect who will be fighting in his backyard. Also, his losses should have an asterisk by them because he took the Morales fight with 2 weeks to go and he actually beat Paulie. This has all the makings of a showcase fight for Cano.

  5. Mosley should have retired a long time ago, I don't want to see him in any more awful disappointing performances. Why do any of you want to see that? You have not learned your lesson yet?

Sugar Shane....if he wins would have 1 win in 4 years and be 42 years old for his next fight.
this would be a crime if they threw him in their with Broner because he somehow beat the 32nd ranked welterweight in the world "Cano" :rofl

    give me a ****ing Break.

lets clean up boxing with random blood tests, but support mismatches with 42 year old guys with maybe 1 win in 4 years against the undefeated buzz saw in broner. disgraceful. would never happen

I actually could totally see this going down, if Mosley and Broner win, obviously.

Mosley made it clear he wants a title fight. Was willing to accept his lowest purse since he was a lightweight to face Malignaggi, at 350k. And obviously, a fight with Broner means some amount of money.

In Mosley, even now, Broner would be facing someone physically bigger than Malignaggi and with (probably, haha) slightly more power. And he has a recognizable name for a "rising star" in Broner to get on the resume and to get people talking. But still not a threat at all.

It makes perfect sense from a promotional standpoint if they were trying to groom and slowly elevate Broner. Which I think is somewhat clearly what's going down.

he would be a 20-1 underdog.
anyone who even remotley thinks it would be an ok idea, go sit through his last 4 fights and then watch broners last 4 fights. shane cant pull the trigger no more.
#1 there is no way in hell it should even be sanctioned as a title fight....should he beat cano who is currently ranked around #33 .... how does that 1 win since jan 2009 get a 42 year old a legit ranking?
#2 any major network should be embarrassed of such a mismatch

there is nothing remotley interesting or appealing about it

I agree with every word you just typed.

But would you expect more from the current boxing and promotional landscape?

Hopefully he just want to get out on a win like people here have said. I don't fancy the idea of him fighting on until he's 50 like benard. They have two different styles.

Very possible. Sadly it looks like this is what Mosley will be doing till he finally retires. This fight will most likely be on a Mayweather undercard.

I pray that this does not happen , I love Mosley . Broner would eat him alive . Hopefully Shane loses a Close decision to Cano .
