i dont think he will be fighter of the year if he pulls the upset....that title will still belong to pac nomatter what over the hill fighters he beats
Donaire is like Floyd or Pacquiao in skill and only lacks ring recognition. He's on his way to being a star, the sky is the limit. If somehow this guy were to knock him off then there would probably have to be a rematch.
I think this Narvaez is giving away too much clues for Donaire.Nonito can read him pretty good.He isn't super quick. His feet are squared up, you know when he is going to punch. If he can take Donaire's power then maybe he can make this like the Concepcion fight.Donaire foot work and ability to make him run into punches using angles and timing and various moves he does.He will probably carve him up.Narvaez seems open to hooks, uppercuts, and right straights.Let's see what happens. Narvaes does have a good chin, good work rate and speed. Keeps his hands up and keep coming forward. I think TKO 6.Donaire.
If Donaire loses, then we will have legions of fans proclaiming Donaire being overrated. Before the fight, the fighter is hyped-up like he's invincible the suddenly becomes overhyped bum when he loses. There'll be tons of excuses from the the Donaire camp but the conclusion of Donaire being overly hyped will overwhelm the issue. Tides easily change in a course of 1 fight especially in the fans point of views. Even someone like Bernard Hopkins wasn't able to escape from that one.
Keep going Omar. And if your opponent keeps on overlooking your match You may be very well be deserving to get those belts.... .... .... and to get his lb4bl status
I think very few people here knew that Omar "EL HURACAN" Narvaez is the last man to score a victory over Joan "LITTLE TYSON" Guzman.
I think Donaire is still capable of pulling-out a win in this fight But I think we're in for a real fight this weekend unlike most people perceiving this to be a walk in the park. Just my thoughts :good
And a lose is lose is a lose no matter who you are or how you're expected to win. This isn't a scripted fight you see? :-(
A huge victory. An upset win of a smaller guy against a bigger and a p4p rank fighter is pretty obvious could make a lot of noise in boxing. Of course Narvaez will get the credit he deserve. But by stressing the word "upset" only means it is very unlikely for him to beat Nonito Donaire.
