If not for the mental lapses, just how good could Golota have been?

It doesnt matter if he was/is a "looser"

The fact remains that Golota is one of the main reasons all us Polaks watch boxing. He rose up in the rankings and actually made a huge name for himself not only for Polish boxing and media, but for E. European boxing. Golota is pretty much a household name in Poland.

Were you saying he was a loser back then? I doubt it. Some fan you are...

A truck Driver, yes, but he obviously had talent prior to pursuing his truck driving career. He won a Olympic Medal, and was a tough and good amatuer boxer, PRIOR, to comeing to Chicago.

Nevertheless, the guy had shown major warts prior to the Bowe fights. like the Nicholson and especially the Pouha fight. There certainly were *****s in the armor.

And he did get hit in fights. It wasn't as if he was a slippery guy in there & that defense needed a lot of work.

Could be right. I actually like his fight with Mike Mollo in early 2008. He was shot, but survived the 4th & 5th rounds when he took huge punches from a limited but hard hitting guy 15 years his junior. He then took over control and nearly stopped Mollo, who did nothing but hold on from the 9th on. He should've retired after that..

I think that he got big fights too early. Especially the Lennox Lewis fight. He should have had some tune-up fights after these Bowe wars.

:huh Well I guess the easiest thing you can do when you dont have arguments to present to someone is to acusse them of being haters and their comments are therefore not valid and it makes you right. Too bad for you it doesnt.

You should listen to your own advice mate.

I won't deny that I'm borderline Lewis nuthugger but unlike true nuthuggers I can acknowledge his weaknesses.
