The Toney in that video is the younger, fresher, more agile, more mobile, quicker, sharper fighter. Toney is an awesome fighter.

It wouldn't really make much of a difference. The problem he is going to face is a lack of any and all skills beyond boxing.

He is going to be the better boxer regardless, improving his boxing isn't going to change anything.

Beebs, you're going to be crying if Toney lands a right hand. Couture will be snoring, and MMA riddled with shame.

    An awesome display of talent...

I see where your coming from and your right; however, since this is a hypothetical thread suppose it was a prime Toney he would have more aptitude to learn other skills needed to be effective in mma and even he lost if he desired he could continue learning other aspects of fighting and become proficient in time. But picking up something brand new at 41 you don't have much upside.

Toney is a good athlete with great timing and coordination and an excellent chin. If he's have trained in MMA his whole life he may have been able to be pretty good at it. As it is now though, he's ****ed.

Isnt it ironic. It took an old shot James Toney to get "fans" in both sports talking about boxing again. Exposure is everything. If anything James currently is doing boxing a huge favor even if he does get his ass whupped.
