If Pac fought PW at 147, would you call that a catchweight?

Since PW hasn't fought at WW in two years?

I'm under the assumption he moves around between 147 and 160 just to find the best match-ups for him but would this win not be legitimate if Pac didn't managed to pull it off?

Pac beat DLH at 147 but after the fight, everyone says it's an unfair advantage since DLH hasn't been a WW for nearly a decade, even though that's the class.

All Williams team does is talk about how they want to fight at welter.... and the reason they havnt fought there is because nobody there will fight them. And he has said bodly that he would easily fight Pac at that weight.

There is no reason at all to consider Pac vs Williams at 147 a catchweight fight, thats absurd, IMO.

  3. Absolutely not since PW called Pac out and said that he'd go down to 147.

No it's not a catchweight and it can't be called a catchweight either. I don't think Paul would be at his best at 147 anyway regardless of what he says about still being able to make the weight.

  5. Paul Williams is 6' 3". So even if he came into the weigh in at 147, he'd balloon up to 170 easily. Bad fight for Pac. Margarito's long arms proved to be a problem simply because Pac had to close the distance so much just to get off.

No....a catch weight is an agreement to fight IN BETWEEN DIVISION LIMITS. So at 147 that's a WELTER WEIGHT FIGHT! Some folks say that DLH was a catch weight fight simply b/c they refuse to give PAC credit whenever he earns it. They are the same folks who generally make up excuses for ALL of Manny's wins.

It's not a catchweight, but it's still more 'weight games'. If you're happy to fight Margo at 150, and happy to claim a SWW belt off the back of it, what possible reason would you have for dragging Williams down to 147?

I would give Floyd or emmanuel all the credit for beating Paul at 147. Paul is the one running around, opening his mouth about how he can still make 147 and is begging for a fight with either guy. People have to live up to what they keep claiming, so it would be all Paul's responsibility if he was weight-drained at 147.

Only thing Paul has over Floyd and emmanuel is height and reach, which he doesn't even use. Maybe power. His stamina is probably better than emmanuels. Floyd UD him, and emmanuel KOs him.

That's the thing, he does nothing with his size advantages, his workrate is what wins him fights, not height or reach.
