^ I don't think fight will ever happen. I don't believe FLoyd wants to fight him. He knows Pac can beat him. When has Floyd ever ran from this kind of payday before? If PAcquiao was a Marquez or HAtton, he would have jumped on it instantly. Floyd knows boxing, and he knows what kind of fight he's in for. He's not doing himself any favors by waiting either. He's going to show more ring rust and he's going to slow down faster then Pac does. He already looked sloppy to me in the Mosley fight. The fight won't happen.

It will still be great but not as great as it could have been the first time it should have took place. Then the second time negotiations got people excited and fell through again. Now you got people on forums like these saying pacquiao is ducking martinez somehow or he should fight Berto and it seems like lots of people aren't even thinking of that fight anymore. FLoyd is on vacation and beating women and might even go to jail, even if he doesn't he will definitely not be fighting while dealing with legal problems. Pacquiao won't be around for much longer and Floyd may never even fight again. I think this will go down as one of the best fights that could have been.

I remember that I compared Floyd's speed in the JMM fight to his speed in the DLH. He was faster then even though he moved up. I don't think he was sloppy against Mosley but I think his reflexes aren't as quick as they once were. I do think decline is finally affecting Floyd but I don't think it will hurt him as much as it did Roy or Ali because Floyd uses more fundamentals & technique than they did. You're right that waiting hurts Floyd much more than it does Pacquiao as Pac is more fresher in our minds because he fights more frequently.

Floyd became bigger too. Wasn't he only 148 on fight night against Oscar? HIs current walk around weight is 156 according to his uncle Jeff.

He was 149 I believe against ODLH. It bothers me that some people say Mayweather is still in his prime yet he isn't imo. He is slowing down but not by a drastic amount.

He's not in his physical prime anymoar. There's clearly a speed and quickness difference in the present Floyd compared to the guy who beat up Zab Judah, Oscar, and Hatton. He's made some technical improvements to make up for it. Jr pumps the jab moar often now, stays off the ropes, and tests the water to see if he can easily finish them.

When it was first supposed to happen, there is no doubt it was the perfect time for it.

2 active fighters, primed, top of their game etc etc.

I don't think it's really that much different now, however the fact it has taken so long and certain things have changed - Pac has pushed his body pretty far (weight & punishment), May is inactive and has legal issues etc - this does give reason to think, what if 'this' did have an effect?

Either way, fight should still happen - at least twice! :p
