Im pretty much convinced Pac would bounce Paulie round for 12, not convinced Hatton could handle Pac to be honest, but I give him a chance - but Paulie no.

 

Hatton vs Pacquiao is going to happen because it's the best payday for both camps, regardless if either loses in the near future.

 

Like Beetson brawler said I was at Mallinaggi last fighter and he looked terrible, so I believe hatton will beat convincingly and then let the punches fly. Pacman V Hatton that will be the fight of 2009.

 

If NDou can push Paulie close to the edge (114-114 on my card) then one would assume that Hatton would KHTFO!

This is on the basis that NDou and Hatton have some glaring similarities, although Ricky is probably 30/40% better in each department, other than the beard, where NDou perhaps has the edge.

Paulie isn't even fringe world class IMO, he has slick skills but is way too hittable. NDou didn't even bother attacking the body and concentrated on the head. The few body shots thrown clearly had him in trouble - if you can name a better body puncher than Hatton (technique wise) you are a better man than me - taking into account the fact that he can throw short ones and long ones with either hand, and either square or in an upward motion.

Don't even say Cotto because I have considered him already!

In terms of Pac, it will be good to see how he deals with a more physical opponent at 135/140 than Diaz, because one thing is for certain with Hatton - you are going to get thrown around the ring. Tszyu remarked after the fight that Ricky was the strongest fighter physically that he ever faced - even more so than Chavez (though he was past it by then).

 

Even Floyd said it was is toughest fight as well.

 

Decent Post. The only way PM wins this one is if he boxes Hatton on the outside. The referee may be instrumental to this fight because Hatton will win the fight if he is permitted to wrestle PM. Don't underestimate PM's boxing ability - he can box. He is very fast. He just has NO punching power and you are right, he can't take a body punch. But, if Cotto couldn't knock PM out, would Hatton be able to? Moreover, my favorite PM fight was the Cotto fight even though he lost because he showed mad heart/chin. Cotto punches HARD and PM took the punches to a decision loss.

 

Hatton also has very good skills, but chooses not to use them.

Watch his exhibitions against Ben Tackie and Eamon Magee for those - earlier in his career the fight against Jon Thaxton was extraordinary, you couldn't even see the canvas for all the blood Ricky spilled!!

A couple of things - Cotto wasn't half the fighter at 140 that he is at 147, Hatton would have chinned Cotto at that point for a variety of reasons, mainly because Miguel was on hunger strike to beat the scales and was so weak it was unreal (see the photos).

Paulie is also more hittable now than he was then, or appears to be, which would play into Ricky's hands. The two least hittable (or slickest) guys have given Hatton the most trouble (PBF & Collazo) but both had decent pop - he could just walk Paulie down at will.

Late stoppage or comfortable UD.

 

Cotto at 140 was weight drained and he still give paulie a good hiding hatton at 140 his body shots are ribcrunchers just ask castillo.

 

Yes but Hatton isn't in Cottos league even a weight drained Cotto was better than Hatton.

depends how paulie beats hatton, if paulie beats him by a close decision, then yes hatton should face pac.. but if paulie is somehow able to hurt hatton and win easily, then hatton should call it quits IMO...

i dont care what he says i dont think hatton is sure of himself anymore.. thats why i think paulie will win.

 

That ends that fight right there. The Hatton fight is hot right now. If Malianaggi wins then Pac should stay at 135 and clear that out. That sort of dampens the festivities I have no intrest in Malainaggi vs Hatton or Pac.

 

I do watch alot more boxing than you can ever dream of, i have Cottos whole career and he is more devastating and brutal than Hatton can ever dream of being even when he was weight drained, you see Cotto lands CLEAN SHOTS Hatton smothers his own work, even that Cotto would of beat Hatton.

I think you need to stop Hatton hugging just because he is a Brit, did you see Paulies face after that fight?

Do you think Hatton will bust him up like that and smash his jaw?
