I dont think the Big O can knock out Peter. I do think the fight "could" be more competitive than most, because I think the long layoff hurts Peter more than Oleg. Peter looked terribly out of shape at the press conference. That being said, I can remember sitting ringside and watching Oleg get blasted in one round to Mcall. He did box well against Tua before getting caught, but Peter throws much faster hooks than Tua, so he is going to have to be on his A game to stay away from that hook and try and win a 12 round decision.
I agree with everything you just said but the ***** part vitali and his brother obviously preffer ****
Oh please, as if Peter really had a shot the last time. Sammy was going for broke with every punch BECASUE HE WAS BEING OUTCLASSED BIGTIME. Peter sucks, get over it & watch Peter be demolished by Vitali , even if Peter gets by Oleg for the honor of being KTFO by King Vitali. :happy
**** no! Vitali was granted his emeritus champion status by Jose Suliman's rule of the WBC because Vitali did the honorable thing by retiring rather than fighting at less than 100%. That in itself is a huge sacrifice by VK since no one reading this would've given up a shot at 8 million by merely beating the **** outta the likes of Rahman. Don't lie now people. Rahman didn't stand a chance anyway................................
You seem to be a huge vitali fan, is it true he was knocked down by 2 sparring partners training for the Rahman fight, and that he was advised to cancel one of the times they were suppose to fight. True or False
I thought WLAD was trying to get him to test his anus, not the back of his head...he kept turning around and bending over whenever he'd get hit with a nice shot. I don't know what he wanted Sam to do...:smoke
Samuel wont avoid anyone.. he hasn't done so far, why would you suggest it.. He boxed Wlad for no belt last time and came within an ace of winning......
I know that Peter would not avoid anyone but i hope his managers do the same. i Dont know how much King is involved. Gotsev thinks his Peter is god and he thinks he BEATS ANYONE THOUGH.
Exactly lefthook31 and we know what happens to fighters on the edge and eave of big (money) fights - De La Hoya vs Sturm & Hopkins vs Allen III LV, 2004 - they simply box cautious so that they secure the next fight, plus Vitaly is making a comeback from a long layoff and injuries situation. But focusing on the question at hand, I don't think either Peter or Maskaev can avoid "emeritus" champion Vitaly cause there are papers signed and the WBC involved ( remember Bowe stripped of the WBC belt after Bowe Holyfield Nov 92 and Lewis fighting Tucker for the vacant title in 93)... But there is every reason to believe Peter would fancy a unification fight with Wlad & IBF and/or WBO Champion - remember also that Lou Duva is behind Peter and Kathy Duva's behind Holyfield to get that deal as sure as done.
