he beat hatton fine, hatton was still the best at 140 and only had a loss to pbf on his record. ?????????????????????????????
I heard that Cotto was actually required to weigh in at 122lbs, but didn't mention it. And by fight night he had to get his weight down to 105.
I'm arguing that it was possible there may have been a rehydration clause, but thats speculative and not fact, unless you can prove otherwise.
Well ocar had injection marks on hi arm proof that he rehydrated so i don't beleive this. Also it would be illegal.
With DLH I believe its very possible that there was such a clause........and its not about Pacquiao's power of negotiation during that time period with DLH..... ......what has to be remembered here is that at the time, Pacquiao had never fought past 135 lbs.....and in his only fight there, he threw everything but the kitchen sink to get the paper champion David Diaz out of there. Its quite possible that DLH mindset at that time was that he could walk into a Pacquiao fight at any weight and condition and take that midget out of there. .......its very possible that it took DLH offering to weigh 147 lbs on fightnight to convince the Pac team to gamble on a DLH fight. Remember it was Larry Merchant and not Roach who first suggested that this matchup was plausible...... I know that Freddie Roach knows his fighter, but Roach seemed unusually confident and certain that his fighter who had never fought past lightweight, could not only beat, but knockout a fighter as big as DLH. Certainly that confidence could have been aided if Roach knew DLH could'nt enter the ring past 147 lbs. I posted in this forum myself that if DLH weighed the same as Pacquiao in the ring, I was picking Pacquiao by stoppage.
