What was the story for Mayweather vs Ortiz? That still sold Floyd vs Trout will sell. I don't care if he has 0 fans if he beats Cotto and Canelo back to back he deserves his shot!
Yep. Of course. Floyd always reminds me of the phrase 'extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence' . Mayweather claims to be the best fighter ever. Those are his own words. Yet he does not want to provide us with the evidence to allow us to believe him. He expects to be able to claim to be the GOAY while fighting people like Ortiz, Cotto and Guerrero.
There's no way Floyd can avoid this fight without appearing like a huge duck. Trout handled Cotto easier than Mayweather, and then he beats the guy Floyd is all but signed to fight next. No other way to look at it.
What's your reasoning behind this? Trout took power punches throughout the fight wheres Floyd took a few jabs. He was also unable to buckle Cotto the way Floyd did.
To be honest I wasn't sure about writing that as I only watched the fight once and can't really remember it . . . :yep Just checking my score card and I had both fights scored the same.
Yep - I had it 117-111. My friend who I was watching with had it much closer. I saw Cotto get outboxed. That's all I remember.
Young hungry lion who is a different race. You can think whatever you want but all Floyd and Al care about is money
No. I think Floyd will stick to 147 for any more fights, except Canelo. And I don't think he will fight any Haymon fighters, except for in his last fight or two.
If he's willing to fight Alvarez, who's a much bigger puncher than Trout, I don't really see how this is a factor.
