I remember when Hopkins was late 30 and people were speculating that he soon would retire because he was really getting too old lol.
I'd be surprised if the high priests and guardians of the lineal title just hand it to him. I'm not even sure their brotherhood is capable of such decisiveness. They currently believe Canelo no longer holds that title. But they are unable to agree it should go to GGG. Perhaps a synod will be convened by them to settle the issue, but it would be unlikely to be held before GGG retires, as the good fathers are engaged in God's work and so naturally take a long view of things.
