Stiverne was never a top heavyweight.

His best wins were over age 40-something Ray Austin and the limited Chris Arreola.

Which was enough to be a top 10 HW at the time.
That is the quality of the HW division.

Ray Mercer couldn't "run right through" Ossie Ocasio, Kimmel Odum, Bert Cooper, Marion Wilson or Jesse Ferguson either time.

    Ray Mercer.:hang

Motivated Mercer takes Wilders best shots and then folds him like a deck chair....

Wilder‘s foot work is so bad he won’t get too many of them off before he’s in full retreat mode. Ray would be right in his chest

Mercer had a great chin before he got too old. I mean the fight with Morrison was pretty brutal. he took some bombs and ate them up and then returned fire once Tommy gassed.

Wouldn’t be in my top 50. Resume far too thin to know how much of a puncher he is. He couldn’t put Fury away when he had him hurt and Fury isn’t packing granite.

Hard to judge on the rest of his resume. Ortiz was ok but Fury only world class opponent he ever faced and in my opinion lost all 3 fights and won 5 rounds

Ray Mercer couldn't slip a right hand if his life depended on it. Ray Mercer tried to bribe Jesse Ferguson during their fight to go down. He'd be bribing Wilder at the contract signing to quit. Mercer isn't running through anything.

He'd quit faster than he did against that kickboxer.

Practically his entire rep is based on the fifth round against Morrison. Mercer didn't run through anyone. I'm still trying to figure out how he didn't lose the decision to Marion Wilson, who basically lost to everyone with a boxing license.

    "Motivated" Mercer. Funny.

Wilder knocked out everyone he fought for 12 years, motivated or not.

Mercer had to come up with excuse practically every year of his career for why he couldn't stop this nobody, or that nobody, or why he struggled to survive against that nobody, or why he lost to 40-something underdogs or career journeymen in tuneups.

I watched his entire career as it happened.

Ray Mercer couldn't even fold an actual lawn chair. He'd struggle with that, too.

Nah... Mercer was pretty good when motivated he was just in a great era. and yeah I watched it in real time myself you deluded mong.
Oh and unlike the dosser won Gold at the Olympics and was highly fancied on his way up. his pedigree is far higher and was tested throughout his career despite being inconsistent. Wilder fought one live body and on three attempts got schooled and battered in all three.
    Facts.

    Deontay Wilder
    * Highest knockout percentage among heavyweight champions - #1 all-time
    * Most successful heavyweight title defenses in a single reign - #4 all-time
    * Longest unbeaten streak among all heavyweight champions - #4 all-time
    * Longest reign in heavyweight title history - #10
    * Seven straight years rated among the Ring top 3 contenders.
    * Lost to one person in his entire pro career - Current World Champ Tyson Fury

Ray Mercer ... still struggling trying to put away his lawn chairs, not even in the discussion.

“People don’t know this about me, like a lot of things, just like I’m a certified scuba diver.

“Not only am I dangerous on top of land, but I’m dangerous in the [ocean].”

Since Deontay Wilder has gotten his scuba license, there has only been one shark attack off the coast of Alabama.

    True story.
