Wilder is terrible but if he did catch Bellew with something it could be dangerous. Bellew would be very stupid trying to take heavyweights on. The Haye win wasn't real, he is trying to claim some kind of fake image, as if he destroyed the biggest threat in the division when the reality is something else.

The only benefit would be the pay day. Its basically zero risk and a monster payday. I wouldn't blame him if he took it, if he doesn't Parker probably would.

I disagree this is helpful for a Joshua fight. Joshua and Hearn for whatever reason last weekend seemed to intentionally ignore Wilder's existence and he was ring side. Went for an out of shape Fury who isn't anywhere near fight shape. Joshua going get mad because he KO'ed his buddy Bellew? I find that silly.

Wilder would just get grilled about fighting a cruiserweight if he won. He needs the Parker fight more than air this summer. If he can collect Parker's scalp it gives him a credible win and almost forces Joshua's hand with an undisputed champ on the line. With Joshua's momentum he created from the Klitschko fight (even over here they were talking about it on ESPN) if Wilder collects the other belt while KOing Parker he will create some steam for himself here too by being unified and sparking interest in facing AJ. And let's face it if AJ wants to crack America Wilder is the key. If he really wants to be a billionaire he will have to crack the American market.

If Wilder gets that other belt and Joshua turns down an undisputed fight he will be ducking and the tables turn giving Wilder some leverage. It will start a conversation.

I'm praying for Parker Vs Wilder this summer. I really think AJ vs DW for undisputed in America will revitalize interest in boxing over here.

Some certainly do. I live in the UK for a start, and check the UK bookmaker odds for Bellew vs Wilder and Bellew vs Parker if you don't believe me. He's close to evens against Parker who is clearly a top 10 HW.

So clearly a number of Brits think he is a top HW.

I think Bellew would rather face Parker, but he will act tough and say Wilder. Parker is more his size. I really hope Wilder and Parker fight, Bellew is a big payday for both and relatively safe. He is a wrench in an undisputed champ I hate it. I like Parker a lot but I hope Wilder would win. Parker is young and would get a shot at Joshua or Wilder again.

Plus Haye>Haye with only one Achilles. If he outboxed a fit Haye they Bellow would get some credit...

Honestly I don't think he really deserves a unification fight until he fights a legit elite fighter with out a belt...

Yes he is talking like he is the sh1t but show us first before you get a payday...

HW is so bad right now that Wilder still is a top contender. But I can vibe with what you're saying for sure. A Luis Ortiz would be a more than acceptable opponent as well (we all know that has zero chance of happening, however).

    Personally, no, I wouldn't.

I don't see Bellew as a force in the HW division at all. How do you think he stacks up in the HW top10?
I don't see Bellew having more than a punchers chance against AJ, Wilder, Fury, Fury Jr, Parker, Pedvetkin or Ortiz.

The fact he beat Haye doesn't all of a sudden make his presence at HW go up.
I understand he beat a guy that could beat a few of the names listed above, but styles make fights and I still believe Haye could have made very easy work of Bellew if he fought with his boxing ability, not his arrogance.

Bellew has a name at HW because of Hayes injury...full credit to Bellew for beating Haye, but he will not remain in the division for long. Mark my words.

So, no, I wont give Wilder credit for beating a cruiserweight, just like I wouldn't have given Haye credit if he beat him.

It would give him a pay day but really he'd be fighting a man with one HW fight under him and in all honesty he wouldn't get any credit for beating a career light heavy/cruiser weight.
That said I don't think Wilder would win anyway as he just can't box,I'm not hating on him and actually I've always admired his tenacity in competing without having much technical ability,if Wilder did win it would follow all his wins in that he'd lose every round until he found that big punch, thing is I don't expect and half decent boxer to get hit by Wilder.

Totally agree with this, have you seen the Teddy Atlas breakdown of Wilders weaknesses,it's on you tube?
Stranger Teddy has to point out that he's not hating just showing the public how it is with him,it shows how he over reaches and how his footwork is all wrong and he pauses the vid where he over reaches and you just think it's a miracle how nobody has laid him out yet,he does say that when he steps up that anyone decent would not miss where lesser guys have failed to,he also said Wilder needs to change trainers has he's not improved any.

Cheers mate. I haven't seen that, i'll check it out. I don't usually take anything Teddy says on board.
I met him at the MGM last year for the Canelo vs Khan fight, dude is off his meds haha. But I can see him being on the money here ;)

The thing with Wilder is he is VERY beatable. Someone like Bellew could box his head off and make him look terrible. However, I don't see Bellew lasting more than 6 rounds without getting caught.

There is no denying the dude has good power. But, his boxing skills are very, very ordinary for a belt holder.
Given that his last 2 opponents have outboxed him and been winning on the cards tells you there is a lot that Wilder has to learn to be elite.

He won't be fighting Bellew. That is only a Brit and Russians dream so that they can criticize Wilder even more. It's a half effort, but hilarious to read alt.

He's so bad that if one of these grade c boxers that he specialises in fighting did make it through twelve rounds without getting put to sleep then I don't think even the most corrupt of judges could give him the win such is the way he gets outboxed,Washington by the way had only been boxing four years and yet if you took someone who didn't know either and asked em who they thought was the champ there'd of naturally said Washington,he was the aggressor, had the ring generalship and had Wilder shot less for four rounds.
