Then Hopkins TAKES HIS PLACE. Though Witter is very likely going to whip Hopkins.

Those 3 are the top 3 at 40 right now.:good

If he ends up losing maybe he can fight Vivian Harris for the title of the "I wish I was somebody at 140 belt "!

a recognized 'champion' not giving a deserving contender a shot due to dislike is pathetic. seriously i'm not even a hatton hater, and I started a thread giving him props for his fight againt floyd.

Good Thread :good and the answer imo is would he ****. I think Witter would be fighting in the states and earning as much money as possable.

Which funny enough is what Hatton is doing but as we know my friend if Witter can drum up some interest state side this fight will be on.

tuff to call really. Hatton does like to cherry pick his opponents
Witter has never really be a big enuff to draw to pick and choose who he fights - its hard to say. i just wish someone would make the fight if it nevers happens its the biggest "fight that never was" in British Boxing

i think junior would fight ricky no matter what, he has wanted the fight ages back.

to be honest if he had ever been even slightly respectful to rick the fight would have happened by now.

That's fair enough, but we're talking after all this going stateside to earn 'as much money as possible'.

Hatton has been there done that, and lost. Now he is definitely fighting at home - yet he still refuses to face Witter who holds the WBC belt and is clearly the number 1 challenger in the division.

Of course Witter would fight Hatton tommorrow if he was in a position to make the fight happen. It will be the biggest payday of his career by a country mile.

Hatton's people will make this fight eventually imo. All the obvious disdain both men feel toward eachother and the well documented trash talking from both parties will sell the fight to people who don't know who Witter is.

It would be tragic if this fight happened in the States.

I think that Witter should have forgotten about Ricky ages ago, built his own legacy and almost forced Hatton to call HIM out. All this about not being a big enough draw doesn't wash with me - that's his own fault for being in **** fights.

Would Witter fight Hatton if the boot were on the other foot, can't say really!

The fight will happen within the next year or so, but Hatton was American fish to fry first I think.

who? why can none of you hattonsexuals answer this?

if he takes another fight at 147 then he should be stripped of his 140 title.
