haye has a big looping right that can catch wlad . Nobody has been able to catch him since he employed that stand back style

Lets hope Wlad fights inside if needed and not hold

If we assume that Wlads chin won't be a problem, then we have to assume that what if Haye was a true heavy. You can't take away a possible flaw, then ask posters respond intelligently.

Haye can win on speed whether Wlads chin holds up or not. Yes, he can out box wlad if he goes to the body and head and sticks to the game plan.

I personally think Wladimir does have a below-average chin. But let’s assume you’re correct, and that he doesn't have a problem in the chin department.

    The following facts still remain:

    • Wladimir is a very cautious fighter – especially against guys who can get to him.
    • His attacks aren’t very eye-catching.
    • He’s not accustomed to dealing with quick, elusive fighters that use the ring well.
Haye can take advantage of those by making the judges choose between his quick, powerful attacking bursts, and Wladimir’s uninspiring jab-jab-grab moves. This will of course be done while he’s moving around the ring like he did with Valuev, and forcing Wladimir to come looking for him, and make it hard for him to find a home for that jab.

Now whether Haye can maintain this for a long period in the fight, is another matter. It’s a strategy that demands a lot of energy, and considering Haye’s stamina problems, he may not really the best person to execute it. But I can’t help but feel that if he can bag as many early rounds as he can, he could make it to the finish line and nick a decision. It’s a tough task to do seeing as though Wladimir gets stronger as the fight goes on, and he’s actually deceptively good at closing down the distance on opponents when he’s required to do so. But I personally feel a Haye decision isn’t completely out of the question, and that a knockout isn’t the only way he can win by.

Neither guy can fight inside, so it'll come down to who catches who first imo anyway.

Haye has to take Wlads jab away from him early.

I seriously think Haye WILL attempt to get inside and when he figures out he can't (after 2 rounds or so) he will just run and try and survive the distance without getting brutally KOed. It is easier said then done and if you read comments by Wlad's past opponents they all say one thing essentially:

"I tried but it I just could not get close to him to do any damage it is much harder than it looks"

Haye is in for a rude awakening on July 2nd.

you dont need a weak chin to get knocked out

anyone can be KOed in real life... this isnt a video game

I think wlad has a good chin... you have to if you want to be able to take punches in the heavyweight devision.

I think wlad will get stopped , not counted out during a Haye onslaught

The "Puncers chance" is used anytime an inferior fighter is matched with a superior fighter.

My thoughts exactly. I think Haye's chin is more suspect given he's been knocked over by small guys like Lolenga Moch with just one shot.

Agreed, it is much, much harder than it looks. I think Haye will find this out too, and those punches from the big man really hurt even if they don't look like they do on TV. It makes the opponent cautious after tasting a few, even those jabs are not nice in your nose.
Maybe the closest opposition of Wlads that is like Haye has been Byrd, also a blown up HW with speed and probably much better defense than Haye. Wlad beat him twice, the second time brutally. I see about the same thing here.

Three guys were able to get inside and not only do damage, but stop him so wlad isn't bullet proof. Yes, it'll be hard, but its been done before.

I've always looked at it as:
    1. Chin = ability to take the initial punch. If you can take a huge shot to the head then you have an excellent chin.
    2. Recovery = The mind and bodies ability to regain it's senses after a knockdown.
    3. Heart = Your willpower to make the most of you bodies recovery ability.

By the above, Wlad has a suspect chin, but decent recovery. It's very hard to question his heart...I don't know if I would include panicking under that category, maybe I need another.:D

I think Haye's chin is a bit worse, and his recovery abilitiy may be slightly more questionable, but I don't question his heart (once in the ring anyway).

Brewster got inside. Purrity didn't do **** but take punches and watch Wlad collapse. Sanders was tall and a Southpaw he really didn't have to get inside.

Brock got inside and landed a few quality body shots. Thing is all of the fighters have a Chin and could take punches. Haye has a Fragile British Glass Jaw. If Wlad lands a shot on Haye like he did Brock he might very well put him into a coma.
