Would need to be injury free calzaghe.

Actually, a better fight might be a prime Hopkins v prime Calzaghe (assuming Hopkins can move up)

Arthur Abraham v Hagler 1st to die wins. Or loses actually.

Trinidad v Hearns 1st to land wins. Got that one right. :smoke

Not bothered tbh, would be a good fight since it would be a young attacking Hopkins (well.....attacking more often) and a presumably banging Calzaghe (as its without hand injuries)

Have to agree with you Dan, I think a Prime RJJ could choose any round he wanted...I am glad they fought when they did, I also think that Calzaghe's promoter at the time would not have rolled the dice with a fight with RJJ back then.

When they did get it on I thought it was ace how they did it.. a text message, met in a hotel to sort out the split and made all the money themselves and cut out all the promoters and hustlers...:good

John 18 sorry mate I was talking to the other John (NO Mas)

As for JC/BH - I'd expect it to be pretty much the same as it was. Scrappy affair with Hopkins being a bit more proactive and scraping a victory. Calzaghe would have probably been a nightmare for Hopkinds regardless of their ages. I still think Hopkins won though and so will side with him being a bit more aggresive when younger so edging a decision

:good Absolutely fair, however when was Hopkins prime??? He lacked the silky skills when he was younger. My guess is Calzaghe beats the Middleweight one and the light heavy one too. Hopkins is a very, very good fighter- perhaps an ATG at middle, but he isn't a super great.

:think i could see it happen...but Meldrick was a tough kid and the speed them two would bring to a fight...they both lay it on the line and do it the right way by boxing...it be a fantastic fight prime for prime i think.

Pre Chavez Meldrick was something special for sure...Mosley loves to gun sling and when you put a a Philly kid like Meldrick in with a gunslinger like Mosley you get war!!!

    Hagler v Monzon

hagler stops him late for me

strange one but Steve Collins vs Carl Froch

a unskilled war with Collins hospitalising froch late on

    Marciano vs Joe Frazier

    Frazier wins on cuts/swelling stoppage

Hagler v Monzon has to be the mother of fantasy fights, some may disagree but it is up there amongst them...:good

I'm surprised there aren't more Roy Jones fights suggested.

I mean, it wasn't as if he faced the best available competition throughout his career..... a bit like Calzaghe there is more flesh off the bone than on it.

    Jones vs........

DM, Maske, Benn, Eubank, Collins, Byrd etc.
