    Who murdered Jesse James Hughes?

I didn’t know him well but I had met him a few times and he was one of my favorites. An iron-willed guy with some personal demons (drugs) that caught up to him, but his murder remains unsolved and I’d like to see justice.

We likely know the circumstance. Hughes was apparently known to set up drug buys and then knock out the dealer and take their stash. So he either did that and the dealer got the upper hand, or (more likely I think) he was set up by someone higher up the food chain who had had one or more of the peddlers he ran done wrong by Hughes and decided to take care of the problem.

    Archie Moore's age.

Was Gans vs Terry a fix?

And who thought it was a good idea to let Howard Cosell commentate boxing?

    Haha, hell yeah!

Call it a gentleman’s agreement, a pinky promise or whatever you like - what you’re really “binding” yourself to is the privilege of continuing to live and breathe.

Sonny could be a cruel but fair man at the same time. If you don’t break “contract” he won’t break your neck. Simples. Sounds pretty fair.

Archie knew his age. He only used that bit of confusion while teasing the media. He figured it was good to get people talking about him. It’s on his tombstone if you care to look it up

For more than 1 reason, I'd like to locate a film of the Harry Greb vs. Mickey Walker fight, in its entirety, in 1925. Then I'd find a way to have it preserved, remastered, and then put it online where it could be downloaded and viewed by anyone who had the means and desire to do so. Then the mystery that was Harry Greb would be solved.

Sonny Liston did talk about the particulars of both fights against Muhammad Ali in 1964 and 1965 to my co worker Pete B. in Sept 1969 in my hometown after Pete arrested Liston after two card sharks who tried to jump Liston who won in a game of cards. Both good sized guys ended up in the hospital with concussions, both mysteriously declined to press charges. Pete was a Police officer in my hometown from 1956 until 1985, he was a Sgt. I have posted this several times, Pete told me he was shocked when Liston started to talk about the behind the scenes relating to the fights with Ali. 3 months later Sonny was knocked out by Leotis Martin in a nationally televised bout, 12 months later, he was found dead.

Pete did say that Sonny began to allude to the conversation of money involving those fights and his various backers. Pete was a true boxing fan and was shocked that Sonny began discussing the underworld in relation to those fights. Pete did say that the two assault victims were pretty beat up. Pete passed away in 2016.

Archie Moore always was my favourite guy to read up on. Boxing's most colourful character.

The Ali punch on Liston. It was so fast, I always felt Liston just lost some motivation.
