Imagine a young HW aged say 20 about 16 stone just turned pro. Probably an ABA champion.

In an ideal world who would you pick as his trainer?

How many fights would you like in the first 12 months?

Give the names of opponents you would be looking for?

If I asked him about his amateur career and he told me he was probably an ABA Champion I'd chuck him out.

I'd get him in with Audley Harrison as soon as possible

Fight once a month for a year. Bum, bum, bum then a few guys like Werner Kreiskott and towards the end of the year a couple of Daniel Peret types. 2nd year move on to fighters like McDermott, maybe Fraudley and staying active with journeyman fights in between. British title challenge by the end of the year followed by world domination.

Trainer of choice would be someone like Manny or if a british trainer then someone surrounded by talented boxers like Farnell.

Fight every month for the first 6 months and then 3 to 4 times for the second half of the year. Doing 6 rounders and 8 rounders in the first year and then 10 rounders after.

Pro debut against someone like Danny Hughes or Paul Butlin type.
Then around his 3rd or 4th fight it would be the likes of Daniel Peret or Dave Ferguson
6th and 7th would be Zach Page, Kendrick Releford or Julius Long.
And last fight of the year would be against Joey Abell, Zumbrum or Maddalone level fighter.

I'd slow him down in his second year, have him stick around at the same sort of level but more so on the domestic level with your Mcdermotts and Sprotts.

Jim McDonnell. He make him lose a few stone and have a decent cruiserweight. Plus like to see him lift buses just for fun of it.

In an ideal world who would you pick as his trainer? Joe Gallagher

How many fights would you like in the first 12 months? 4-6 but would like the kid to get some quality sparring with seasoned pro's around Europe.

Give the names of opponents you would be looking for? Marcel Zeller, Daniel Peret and people very similar to him with a padded record to get people interested for the 1st 10- 15 fights.

Then look at a few older British pro's say 5 fights Win a british and Commonwealth title & hopefully settle any domestic disputes with other fighters, move on to Europe make a couple of defenses, then on to the big time!

:rofl Sounds about right. You could get him the WBF HW Title and then the British media would refer to him as THE Heavyweight Champion of the World.
