Not even going to answer this question. How easy is it for armchair fans to type on their keyboard what they would do.

That being said, plenty of fighters, in high level fights against dangerous opponents, find themselves facing severe adversity, are in over their head, and often outgunned in hopeless fights, some fighters pack it in because they have many reasons to do so, some fighters find that one reason not to, and fight on because of it. (and many of them without the speed and power of shane, not to mention the size advatage he held)

And the respect or flaming they get is a result of their decision. Its just the way things work. Shane chose to run from Pac, that was his decision and thats fine. Because he ran the way he did he didnt get busted up like people who came to win, and even when it was hopeless, refused to submit to pac, like Marg and Diaz. But that health comes with a price, and thats everyone talking **** about him, and questioning him the way people have been. Its a trade off.

Cant fight like Mosley did and expect not to get some backlash. Not when you have the power to hurt pac, the speed to catch him, the strength to tie him up, and the size advantage, and you put in a performence like that. Blisters or no blisters.

That being said, most fighters, regardless of how much a warrior they were at one time, will come to the point, if in with an elite enough beast, where they find their will to fight on in the face of overwhelming adversity, lacking. It has happened to some of the sports hardest men. To be honest, I really dont hold it against Shane too much in the grand scheme of things. My gripe is mainly that he made boxing look like **** in a big fight, which pisses me off.

But, it does make the fighters who truly own the 'never surrender' soul that much more special in my eyes.

Risk Health/Go down SWINGIN- Everyone choosing this option is just BS, Rather take the beating Shane took than hatton against Pacquiao, so would any one else.
I chose change shoes, but i would in that situation do what shane did and run, don't hinkn i'll quit.
