If you were managing Lucian Bute's career and had his best interest at heart, who would you have him fight next? Would you have him go through with the Froch rematch or would you have him fight someone else?

I would forget all about the Froch rematch and try to get Robert Stieglitz out to Canada. Not a big puncher also has a leaky defense and has been knocked out before, but still has "former WBO SMW champion" on his resume.

The WBO route is where Bute should head.
I would've picked him to beat Arthur before but now I give AA a good chance.
Time to accept he has no place at the top table though.I feel sorry for(some of) his fans but to be fair to Lucian,he brought a lot of new fans to the sport and that doesn't happen very much nowadays.

Said in another thread if his camp care they will tell him to go nowhere near Froch.

As for next don't really know maybe up to LHW where I reckon the competition isn't as stiff.

Bute's next opponent should be a cotton bud.

If Bute really want to face Froch again i will try to put him in the ring with Pavlik or Bika first to really see where is at!

If not AA and Stieglitz are winneable or even go to 175lbs where he can get another belt!

If I was managing him and I "CARED"...I would put him in with bottom 10 ten fighters like before...give him Groves, Degale, George, Oosthuizen, generally guys with not too much power that are inexperienced...maybe Abraham for a title...

    Agree with this.

Fight on in front of his home fans making money

avoid the top guys like the plague

    and retire

    Thats my plan

As mentioned above, don't let him anywhere near Froch, Kessler or Ward.
Give him AA, or give him Groves, Degale opponents.

Andre Ward, go for the biggest scalp out there.

A loss to Ward would not be devastating, pulling off the upset would put Bute at #1 SMW.
