the fight was on SETANTA sports back then! He was nowhere near as big as he is now! now hes on SKY PPV!

you know what, stop talking like you have any idea how things work in the Uk and how the public is. Seriously. The promotion back then was peanuts compared to how it should be now! why?! coz haye is more KNOWN. its on PPV. there is a lot more money to be made from it, so why the hell not milk the promotion and squeeze every dime out of this event?!

GUESS WHAT. thats what every promoter in the world does. Learn some economics

or are you suggesting every promoter in the world is an idiot and you know best regarding promotion?!

Do you seriously think the average person, who, as I said, doesn't give a **** about boxing for all but one night a year, remembers the hype from 2009?

Of course they don't. ****ing hell, you sound like an idiot.

I didn't say that they don't need any promotion. I said that they ALREADY DID IT! And on top of that... they would have 6 more months to promote it further. How many times do I have to say the same thing for you guys to understand? I guess your point about UK fans is true. You guys are ****in' dumb.

I should probably rephrase because I know there are some good people in the UK. Haye's big fans on ESB are ****in' dumb.:good

Your missing the point...people will have to invest millions on promotion and advertising..they won't be willing to do that if Vlad had another fight first because they could lose literally millions. If Vlad loses then the PPV revenue for a Haye/Vlad fight takes a huge nosedive and the money cannot be recouped at a later date as the product would be tainted.

Really? They already forgot about this mega fight that was supposed to happen a year and a half ago? :rofl:rofl

6 more months of the fight being pounded into their heads wouldn't knock the cobwebs out either? Yeah... nice try. Move onto the next excuse, this one isn't working.

So, Haye is only interested in promotion and money? Where is his pride and his will to be the best? I am very disapointed. Furthermore, it is very sad that his fans are protecting him ...

I would avoid Haye because I'm a ***** and I went down the second time in the Sanders fight without getting punched and proceeded to crawl on the ground like some kind of *****.

1 million people cared enough to buy his ppv vs valuev.
700k people cared enough to buy audley vs haye.

Those are the people who matter most to boxers....the ppv buyers who PAY THEIR BILLS

On a different TV Network, 18 months ago.

You think HBO would happily minimise promotion for a fight, because it was promoted 18 months ago on Showtime and never happened?

Haye has fought since then. A massively promoted (awful) fight against Harrison being the most recent.

Most casual fans will have forgotten about a non-fight 18 months ago, against some big German/Russian bloke.

**** man, I hope you never work in marketing. "no point advertising Coke this year mate, we did it 18 months ago. People will remember it's around won't they?"

So, they promote the **** out of it for 6 months.

Spend millions and millions on it, building up some huge unification fight.

And chisora twats wlad with a once in a lifetime shot.

    What then?

If your answer is "it's not gonna happen", then why the **** is Wlad fighting somebody with ZERO chance of winning?

A lot of them are Widdow, you're right.

I'm not even a Haye fan, but I can't imagine anyone in their right mind putting a big money making unification fight like this in jeopardy, for such a farcical reason.

Which, by the way, appears to be changing.

Initially it was Wlad needed a tuneup, now it's that it's because he was worried Haye would pull out.

I understand Wlad being wary of Haye not turning up. But after agreeing to every single thing, then throwing Chisora into the mix at the last second? That's a joke.

Can a fighter sign two different contracts? I mean, can Wlad sign with Haye and with Chisora for a different date?

750,000 people bought his last fight to see him. He is a consistent figure on national TV, radio and in the newspapers any day that he chooses to be. He even has his own magazine.

    Yep, nobody cares about him.
