Pacquiao is not superior to Mayweather, not by long shot, but Pacquiao does bring more to the table in certain areas the Mayweather does, which is why I think Pac has a damn good chance of beating him should they ever fight. Mayweather has Pac beat as far as defense, ring generalship, patience, and ability to adjust. Pacquiao is at the very least ON PAR with PBF's hand speed, and footwork. Pacquiao hits harder, and from more surprising angles the Mayweather. Mayweather's style can be beaten, my friend. Castillo, De La Hoya, and to a certain extent - Zab Judah showed that. Let me ask you this...as masterful and one sided as they were, would you not call PBF's performances against Baldomir and JMM "dull"?
I am no Mayweather nuthugger, but I honestly love to watch him fight. He just has the ability... There is something about the way he fights that I love, everyone else saying he his boring, I don't understand... Mayweather has the Robinson, Leonard, Whitaker, Jones type of talent. Very flashy and effective, just the style I like to see.
I dont believe that most of Pac fans hate Mayweather. I think it's just because of the complete opposite of styles. Like in 1980s basketball, you either will prefer the run and gun, flashy hollywood LA Lakers, or the workmanlike, spartan, textbook Boston Celtics. I know many of Pac's fans recognise FMJ as an excellent boxer since many years back. But most didnt particularly get excited with his less reckless, more cerebral approach to boxing. The "hate" only intensified and got louder when the two were about to cross paths in the ring. Not really hate. We never really hate first. We only fire back.
Pac fans made me hate Pac. The more I examined the more I realized he was smoke and mirrors. That made me hate him and his fans that much more.
You are right... I love to watch Pac and his style too, It usually always makes for an exiting fight. I have still not seen a fighter that I really believe beat Mayweather over 12.... There are fighters that had some success, but Mayweather's ability to adjust is one of his strong points, I am not sure Pac has that. I honestly believe Mayweather is over all a better fighter than Pac, even though I don't like his personality at all.
I don't hate Pac; I'm just not as big a fan of him as I used to be. The drug-testing thing threw me quite a bit; I expected the Pac I'd come to admire and thought I knew to say "**** you", take the test, and then try to open up a can of whoop-ass. But that's not what happened. Then there was the suspiciously-rapidly-signed Clottey fight. OK: I can let one relatively-easy in-house fight slide; fair enough, you've earned it. But now they're talking about Margarito ... Pac's in kind of a no-man's-land with me now. I admire the way he fights a great deal; I'm just not too impressed with the way he's been going about his business. On the flip side, Mayweather's gone from being a bit of a dodger to taking on arguably the toughest opponent possible at welter. It's like the world's turned upside down in six months. I still don't like his mouth, though. On top of that, some of Pac's fans are straight-up morons (bulakenyo and Philla excepted; they seem to be fairly level-headed about stuff). I resent being called a '*****' or a 'floydette' simply for being in favour of a rational drug testing policy. I'm actually hoping Shane kicks Floyd's ass, but that doesn't matter to these chumps.
Is this your first day on the internet?? You've been googling "mayweather+chicken" for 3 hours and posting the results 1 by 1.
Former pacquiao fans are just a product of the power of suggestion. Sucks to know how gullible people can be.
